Dr. Eliot was great. The front staff was pretty cold/ could be a lot nicer but, the Dr/ his asst made up for it.
Very explanatory and nice during my visit but, they dont print X rays in the office, which is something I've gotten used to being walked through at every office I have ever been to.

Dr. Folickman has both lived and practiced on the Upper West Side since 1970. He has seen it change from a quiet neighborhood to the most desireable and vibrant part of the city. His practice was established in 1981. He performs all aspects of general dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry. He has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education courses to constantly update his practice. He is a graduate of the NYU College of Dentistry, and did a 3 year residency in the US Army.

I went for cleaning and check-up but I was disappointed, I didn't feel that he really clean my teeth. I will not recommend it to any friends and family member.

Didn’t seem thorough compared to other dental cleanings I’ve had throughout my life; rushed through a lot of it, didn’t use floss at all, billed me for one x ray separately and then did a full-mouth set of x rays as another separate charge when the full mouth set would’ve clearly been the first move to make. Also had no regard to pain etc during the cleaning process; granted I was in dire need of a cleaning, but wow, he really went for it. My mouth is a bit sore 24 hours later.
Office is dumpy and front desk was highly impersonable, borderline unprofessional. Disappointed but not blown away. I’ve come to expect less from almost every service I get in NYC compared to higher standards back in the Midwest.

This was the best dentist appointment! I didn't wait at all. He didn't rush me, he was very meticulous and thorough, yet he was extremely efficient, as we were finished before even an hour went by! He was also very kind and funny and took the time to get to know me, making my experience enjoyable. I am so glad to finally have a great dentist.

I had a filling that broke and my regular dentist has a long waiting list. Was not expecting much since this dr had an appointment the very next day available. He filled the tooth and told me to wait 30 minutes before eating. I waited three hours and the fillling broke almost completely within minutes. They were available again 2 days later to warranty the job. That filling lasted 5 days. Full me once...

Technician was brushing her hair and getting ready behind the reception desk. Office did not look clean. Cleaning was painful and rushed and my teeth did not feel clean afterwards. The tooth polish was in my hair and all over my clothes from splatter.

I had not been to a dentist in years, partly because I would be made to feel guilty by the dentist. But Dr. Folickman did not give me a hard time, even though I had many cavities. He was sympathetic and professional.

I went to Dr. Folickman for a cleaning and apparently my insurance plan was such that I did not have to pay for my cleaning and insurance would not pay him for the cleaning.. so, Dr. Folickman spent about 10 minutes cleaning my teeth (literally just scraped my teeth and brushed them) and then called it a day. I had to ask him for fluoride and also wondered aloud why he didn't floss my teeth?
Yes, he was friendly and we had a nice conversation about his travels, but given he wasn't getting paid for this... it was apparent he could careless about performing a quality dental cleaning.

It was a very disappointing to come in for a cleaning and get a few scrapes with some tool and call it and charge me for cleaning. Never again!

He chose not to complete my cleaning before leaving for another (more lucrative) set of patients. Tried to force fillings on me when I had received the same set 6 months prior. I guess everyone has to pay rent.

Dr. Folickman is a GREAT dentist. My whole family goes to him. He is always honest and does not recommend unnecessary procedures. His staff is also wonderful. They are always accommodating and good about paper work. No one in my family has ever had a billing issue with Dr. Folickman!

The staff is very welcoming! I loved all his photos from his travels. He was personable, honest, and upfront about pricing. Today was my first dental visit in 6 years and he was very kind about my lack of dental hygiene(flossing, etc.). Can't wait for my next cleaning, haha

He had a very sincere way of telling me what I could improve and he gave me some great suggestions. Finally I found a great dentist in NYC!

Dr. Folickman was a breath of fresh air as a Dr. in NYC.
He was so kind and honest and was not the pushy salesman type. I have been to numerous dentists in NYC and always felt they were trying to sell me something.
He is not an alarmist and only suggests treatments if they are truly necessary. He also highlights all of your insurance coverage, so you know what to expect in your bill.
His office is a quarky throwback which I actually found to be endearing.
I will definitely go back to Dr.Folickman as my regular dentist.

Nice guy. Explained what he was doing and why he recommended certain things. No upselling. Good overall experience. Teeth cleaning was a little more rough/painful than my old dentist. Office was old/dingy. Will probably return.
