Dr. Ella Shuster grew up in Westfield, NJ. Dr. Shuster always knew she wanted to be a dentist, she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry, the 5th top dental school in the country. She then completed a General Practice Residency at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ.
Dr. Shuster is comfortable with all aspects of general dentistry (Root Canals, Fillings, Crown and Bridge), and is especially interested in cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign orthodontics, restorative dentistry, and dental sleep medicine. She takes hundreds of continuing education hours each year to bring new techniques and the latest products to offer state of the art dental health care to her patients. Dr. Shuster achieved a Fellowship award with the Academy of General Dentistry and is pursuing her accreditation with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

The dental hygienist who completed my cleaning & xrays was nice and friendly but the dentist herself was not. She was very cold, simply walked into the room, put my xray up and said “so you need this, this and this. It will cost this amount. You want to do it?” I was taken aback because there was no bedside manner at all. Then she tried to convince me of false information. She told me my baby tooth I was looking to get removed was actually an adult tooth....which was totally incorrect. After explaining this to her, she just kept shaking her head and looking at me as if I was dumb....needless to say, it was confirmed to be a baby tooth after the visit by the staff and taken out.
Don’t know if this was a bad day for her but I would not recommend. Currently looking for a new dentist as she did not make me feel comfortable.

Great doctor! Dr. Shuster is informative, welcoming & offers a great dental cleaning plan. The hygienists that work with her are also very kind & her offices are clean. I travel nearly 2 hours just to see her for my cleaning.

Dr. Shuster is definitely the top doctor (not just dentist) I’ve ever had. She’s warm, caring, and meticulous in her care for any and all dental issues. She also has a phenomenal memory and is incredibly helpful even when you struggle with insurance coverage and the best way to schedule your care. I highly recommend her to basically everyone I know, and I travel from another state to continue in her care.

The staff is very curteous and friendly. The Hygienist explains what she is doing and checks to make sure you are comfortable. Dr. Shuster takes time to answer any questions you may have. It was a great experience.

My first visit with Dr. Shuster went very well. The office staff was amicable and helpful. They helped me with understanding my insurance and other things. Although I couldn’t get much done, Dr.Shuster told me specifically why and what to do. She recommended others that would be able to help. Also scheduled a follow-up appointment to make sure everything would come out okay. Dr. Shuster was very warm and comforting. I definitely liked her and will be going back for future check-ups.

Dr. Shuster is not only one of the best dentists I've had, she's one of the best doctors in general. She's gentle, intelligent, and very straightforward about any procedure you might need to have. She's incredibly thorough and answers every question. I had a lot of dental issues because of a long gap in treatment and insurance, and I found myself looking forward to my appointments (which is rare for a dentist).
