I've been trying to get a diagnosis for my pain for almost 2 years. I was just shuttled around from one doctor to another, and even wound up get 2 root canals on the same tooth. Dr. Elward took her time with me, and wound up diagnosing me with TMJ. No other dentist or endodontist checked me for that.

Dr. Erica Elward graduated Cum Laude from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Prior to that, she received two Bachelor of Science degrees from Michigan State University, in Physiology and Nutritional Sciences. After Temple, she completed a general practice residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Dr. Elward is committed to continuously learning the latest technology and best techniques. She invests heavily in continuing education and has taken courses at the world renown Pankey Institute, aesthetic courses with Drs. Rosenthal and Apa, and through Spear Education center. Through these courses she has learned advanced treatment planning, treatment of difficult TMJ cases, and achieving aesthetic perfection through restorative dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Elward enjoys playing volleyball, bowling, traveling, and her daily crossword puzzle. She currently lives in downtown Austin and loves exploring the city and trying new things.

Dr. Elward was amazing! I had only been to one dentist my entire life, so this was my first time with a different dentist. I explained I had not been in quite a while (too long). She was patient, and very accommodating. I mentioned I had sensitivity, and she offered to use a topical numbing cream, as well as a fast acting Novocain for the cleaning. Dr. Elward checked in to see how I was doing throughout the process. Upon completion, she talked through technical tactics, and personally set up a new appointment for me, and a consultation for another procedure. I will definitely be back!
