Amazing experience from first walking in the door to leaving. My kids loved the waiting room which is always a good sign and everyone was so friendly and accommodating for the kids. They take the time to explain to the kids what they are going to do let them touch the brushes etc. Best pediatric dentist around!!

Wonderful staff! My son has been going here since he sprouted his first tooth 6 years ago and my daughter has been coming here for 3. Dr. Erica is amazing and the hygienists always make my children feel comfortable about going to the dentist. Can’t say enough great things about this office!

Dr. Erica Pitera, or Dr. Erica as she goes by in the office, grew up locally in Cromwell, CT and graduated from Cromwell High School. She went on to receive her BS in biology from Duke University. She earned her DMD at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and was awarded for achievement in dental care for patients with special needs and for her leadership in the American Student Dental Association. Dr. Erica then completed a two-year specialty residency program in pediatric dentistry at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Erica is a board certified pediatric dentist who specializes in providing comprehensive oral care to all pediatric and adolescent patients. In addition to her many professional memberships, she is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the medical staff at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford. She values continuing education and strives to stay up to date with all the latest dental treatments and techniques.
Growing up with a brother with special needs, Dr. Erica has developed a great deal of patience and understanding for helping children of all abilities. From a young age she knew she wanted to be a pediatric dentist so she could help children like her brother have a positive dental experience. She prides herself in providing quality care in a friendly and special way, and strives to make visits to the dentist fun for all kids.

Such an amazing place! Everyone is so friendly, professional, patient and kind! Dr. Erica and her whole team go above and beyond to make your child have fun and look forward to coming to the dentist! They have a great way of working with kids so that they can understand what will happen during the visit and wont be scared. When you walk into the office your a treated like family and not a number! I would highly recommend Sweet Tooth!

Our daughter Mackenzie (3 yrs) was a bit timid going into the “dentist chair” and knowing her teeth were going to be checked with the “hook”. But the atmosphere for her changed the minute she knew Dr. Erica would be checking her teeth. Her face lit up for the next 30 minutes. Everyone working there was so patient with the 100 questions she had about everything around her. Dr. Erica made the entire experience fun for Mackenzie, and by the end she was begging not to leave. I’m beyond thrilled that we’ve found the perfect match for Her. Thank you to Dr. Erica and the Sweet Tooth team. I would recommend you to anyone ??

The atmosphere was wonderful. All the staff members were incredibly kind and patient with my 2 boys. It was their first visit to the dentist and they were both a little nervous and shy. The staff and Dr. Erica turned their visit into a great experience. The boys still talk about their visit to Dr. Erica!!!

I can't say enough great things about bringing my two kids Emma and Landon here. Both started coming here since they were babies. The office is very clean, bright, and the staff is very cheerful when going in. My kids both love getting their teeth cleaned by Robin and Beth because they say they are really fun. I love how they explain things to you. When I found out that my son had a cavity for the first time I felt like I failed as a parent as I'm the one who brushes and flosses his teeth but they cleared things up for me and made me feel better. Who would of though the gold fish and pretzels are not as great for teeth as we though they were? I also love all the pictures that they share and how much fun the staff is always happy. It's just a really fun place.

My daughter was referred to Sweet Tooth by her current dentist for an issue with her teeth. The office is so kid friendly, kid oriented, and beautiful! The staff along with Dr. Erica were so kind and sweet. My daughter who is very shy at first felt so welcomed and comfortable right away. We will actually be making the switch from her current dentist to Sweet Tooth per my daughters request because she liked it that much! Well worth the 30 minute drive for exceptional care and guidance. I highly recommend!

Dr Erica and her staff are wonderful. Everything from the smallest details of her office to her expansive knowledge are truly appreciated. I wish I could give her and her office more than 5 stars. My children actually enjoy and look forward to going to the dentist since we have found Sweet Tooth. My only thought is that we wished we had found her sooner. Thank you for your patience, kindness, and providing my children with top rated care.
