More about Dr. Erik Fitzgerald, DDS
Dr. Fitzgerald grew up in suburban Washington, DC and still has plenty of family there, but he decided it was time to move West after taking a wonderful trip to Colorado. Today, he’s proud to be helping patients smile brighter here at Evergreen Dental Group!
Dr. Fitzgerald then spent a full decade at the Johns Hopkins University, researching the effects of drugs on fetal development, before realizing that he had a passion for medical science and art. He chose to pursue his dental doctorate at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, graduating in 2014. During this time, he was awarded honors in both oral surgery/implant placement and prosthodontics.
In 2015, Dr. Fitzgerald completed an in-depth General Practice Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, treating patients in the dental chair, the operating room, and even bedside. He performed a wide variety of complex procedures during this residency, including in-depth rehabilitation/surgery for cancer treatment and reconstruction after extreme facial trauma.
When Dr. Fitzgerald isn’t busy caring for teeth, his favorite hobbies include mountain biking, backpacking, woodworking, and rebuilding/modifying cars. He’s also a classical pianist and can play the drums too!
