Dr. Evan is a Board Certified pediatric dentist who was born and raised in Rochester, NY. After graduating cum laude from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, he went on to complete a General Practice Residency in Philadelphia at the Albert Einstein Medical Center, developing competencies in trauma management, oral surgery, and pediatrics. Dr. Evan completed his pediatric specialty residency training at Columbia University, gaining profound experience in managing infants, children, and adolescents of all medical, dental, and behavioral needs.
Dr. Evan regularly volunteers on domestic and international outreach trips, and is an attending physician at the Mt. Sinai Pediatric Dental residency program, providing clinical and didactic instruction to the dental trainees in the operating room at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Dr. Evan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association. He resides in the Upper West Side with his wife, and would some day like to be the proud parent of two children and two Siamese-Himalayan cats. When not at work he can be found running in Central Park, exploring the globe, playing squash, playing the drums, snapping photos, or dreaming of what life would be like with a washer and dryer. Dr. Evan will ensure that your child has a fun and laugh-filled experience at every dental visit!
Besides exclusively treating children, Dr. Evan will be happy to see patients through young adulthood.

For a pediatric dentist, he was not so great with my child. I was surprised when he was inpatient and actually raised his voice several times telling my child to calm down and to settle down. My child was having an off day, but this short visit was pretty traumatizing and now going to the dentist has become a big topic in our family that we have to work through. I will recommend other offices to my friends. It is also not very stroller friendly and tight getting in the door.

He was distracted because he had a friend waiting for him so he sent us home with what I’m sure was meant to be a standard dental hygiene kit but was actually another kid’s used toothbrush and half a tube of toothpaste.
My toddler was very at ease during the visit, though!

It was absolutely amazing! I was anxious and so was Maxwell, but Dr. Evan was kind and extremely sweet w/ my son. He was calm and put all Maxwell's fear to rest. I am so happy that we came here because now Maxwell is not afraid of the dentist. I would(and will) recommend Dr. Evan to all my friends, as well as the parents at my job! (I am a childcare supervisor) :)
