“Honestly, the office is pretty old and it seems like the front staff are stretched pretty thin. Otherwise I went in for a cleaning with my insurance and everything ran smoothly. Dr. Lagda is very knowledgeable, sweet and cares about your health. My assistant was super friendly and personable but also made sure my needs were met and communicated them to the doctor. They are very trustworthy and won’t try to sell you anything or convince you to do special treatments like other private practices. Highly highly recommend!!!”

Dr. Lagda has been practicing family dentistry for more than 20 years and has gained vast experience in providing dental treatments to meet your individual needs. She uses modern techniques to restore and enhance the natural beauty of your smile using state-of-the-art procedures that will result in beautiful, long lasting smiles! She is a graduate of the University of the East College of Dentistry and has participated in many continuing education courses at the UCLA School of Dentistry and the Las Vegas Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry. Dr. Lagda is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the San Diego County Dental Society. She also speaks Filipino.

Professional, courteous, and Dr. Lagda does good work (and is kind/understanding). Glad to have found this place.
When I made the appointment, I made it clear I needed a crown. When I arrived, they asked why I was there, I told them I needed a crown. After 40 minutes of x-rays and other actions, non of which assisted in the only reason for my visit, the doctor asks me why I am there. I tell her I am there for a crown. She does an examination and tells me.... I need a crown. I tell her I know and its the reason why I am there to which she tells me there is no time. Complete waste of everyone's time. I won't go back and will get this thing fixed somewhere else.

My experience at Gentle Dental was very positive. Dr. Lagda, AJ and Tanya took excellent care of me and made my visit anxiety free. The office staff was considerate and thorough with the patient process. I highly recommend this dental group!
My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lagda for the incredible results of her skill and artistry, a grateful thanks as well to her highly competent and caring assistants (Marcos, Tanja, and A.J.), and to Bella for so graciously handling the insurance matters and scheduling.
I came in for two crowns and was very nervous. The previous doctor who no longer works there worked on me twice and couldn’t get my crowns correct. Dr. Lagda was very patient with me, I was worried about being completely numb for the procedure since with the previous doctor I felt it while being worked on. She got me totally numb and and took two impressions to make sure the lab got it right this time. The staff were all nice to me the whole time I was there. I’m used to being treated as a bank account in Dental offices but not here! I can’t wait to return.
The staff is incredible! Everything from the booking process to the actual appointment was smooth sailing. AJ, the dental assistant, was incredibly considerate and quick with x-rays which can be otherwise painful. Mine got done in less than 10 minutes. Dr. Lagda promptly followed and was very thorough in her examination. She gave me detailed results, with hygiene tips and next steps. Gentle Dental is definitely my go-to dentist in town.
Dr Lagda did my crowns and did a fantastic job. A couple other doctors had issues because my crowns were in the very back of my mouth, but dr. Lagda got it on first try! All the assistants were super nice. I would return again!
Great first visit and I didn't leave in tears, like I normally do at other offices from frustration! AJ was the best x-ray tech and he & Tanya made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Dr. Lagda was kind & made me feel like she cared about my problems I was having and took her time with me. Bella was very helpful & informative also, when discussing & creating a care plan for me. I highly recommend giving this office a try if searching for a new dentist!! ????

Great experience Tonya put me at ease with the pain I was having and Dr Lagda got me right in immediately. Also they worked with me financially and that helped as well. They really helped in a stressful situation
Dr Lagda and the whole staff were very nice and comforting. I was previously seen at a different office and was completely traumatized but they made me feel very safe and loved how they were very nice and gentle.
This review is for Sorrento Valley office with Dr Lagda and her incredible support staff. I'm a new patient at this office and have to say I was very impressed with Dr Lagda's skill and expertise. Having deferred dental maintenance for a few years, I had 9 crowns and 1 filling needing work. Although all this work was supposed to be a multi appointment journey, Dr Lagda was very efficient and thoughtful in her approach, fixing one side then asking if I wanted to continue or be done for the day. Since it was going so smoothly I decided to continue and got all 10 teeth fixed at the same time. (Return appt to remove temp crowns and install permanent crowns per typical process of course.) All I can say is that if you're looking for a true professional who knows her business (teeth), see Dr Lagda in Sorrento Valley - your teeth will thank you.
Everyone was very pleasant, professional, and caring. From the moment I walked in I could tell something was different about this place. Dr. Evelyn Lagda was very friendly and caring. While I never liked going to the dentist, she made me very comfortable and made quick work of a really tough situation. Thank you Dr. Lagda and the rest of the Gentle Dental staff!!
AJ, Tonya, and Dr. Lagda took great care of me. I was efficiently checked in for my appointment by the front desk. They also made sure that I was thoroughly informed about my entire care plan and all of the associated costs. I always enjoy my appointments at the Sorrento Valley office. My only caveat is that their corporate scheduling team isn't very well managed and tends to miscommunicate with each other. This led to my wife and I both experiencing incorrect appointment scheduling. Or being called and told that my appointment wasn't scheduled for the correct day even though it was. I am sure this can be a significant issue for most customers since people have busy lives. If you want to enjoy a great in-office experience, just be sure to call the office you wish to be seen at directly. That simplifies the whole process.
