Dr. Khattak seems very experienced. I visited her for a second opinion on a teeth-grinding issue and she was very knowledgable. The hygienist was not chatty but was obviously experienced as well.
Overall a very good visit. Would recommend.

With an excellent background in dentistry, Dr. Farida Khattak wants to exercise her skills for a valuable cause. Dentistry being a challenge and a passion, she aspires to achieve perfection in any given endeavor in the field of dentistry, thereby serving her passion as well as her patients
Dr. Khattak first graduated from back home in 1998.Dr. Khattak spent time abroad in Dubai, and other Middle Eastern countries. She enrolled and attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2008. Clinical precision was her greatest asset, and on several occasions she was awarded for her clinical procedures. Having this brilliant record she was acknowledged in the good books of fellow students and doctors both in United States and back home.
While in Denver, Colorado she developed a love for skiing. Dr. Khattak has been married for over 10 years and has two fantastic girls, both in elementary school. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Khattak moved to the Northern Virginia area to be closer to her parents. When she is not running after her daughters ,she enjoys hiking, skiing, cooking and traveling.

I came to Dr.Khattak for a check up and I have to say she is wonderful! As soon as I walked in I was greated by her very friendly front desk lady. I was seen right away and Dr.Khattak made me feel as I was were #1 priority. She's so friendly and makes sure she guides you through the process of the procedure. I'm so glad I found her and her office. I will definetly be bringing my whole family here.

Her front desk person, Susan, walked through every step of the billing process , and helped me sort out all the information I needed for my insurance company.

Dr. Farida is an excellent dentist
She was very supportive, professional and considerate of my over all comfort. I appreciate the time Dr.Farida took to explain all the X-rays, Dental recomndarion and procedurs. I felt that she understood the patient need. I was extrmely well treated, Every one in the office is courteous, nice and helpful. I would recommend Dr.Farida to everyone. She is the best dentist I have ever had.

This was my first visit. Dr. Khattak cleaned my teeth personally, I never know they would be so white! I am overwhelmingly pleased. There wasn't a lot of BS - it was fast, efficient, and she removed some stains my previous dentist said wouldn't come off without an added procedure. 100% happy.

I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and was there a few min early. I was called in right on time and the front office staff were all very kind and helpful. The tech took my xrays painlessly and Dr. Khattak herself did the cleaning! She's sooooo nice and helpful and took her time with me.

The facility was great! It was clean, the equipment was new and worked well, the lobby looked nice, the receptionist was friendly and the doctor was friendly and knowledgeable!

It was ok staff was very nice and helpful. Dentist didn't seem to considered with pain management. Which considering she was scooting around on a scooter for her leg I would think she could better be considerate. She seemed like oh whatever you'll be fine she didn't even exam my mouth properly she was just hitting my tooth. Which the pain wasn't coming from the top of my tooth but from the bottom. It was a complete turn off that's how she exams banging on your teeth. -_- people Medicaid always get stuck with okie dokie. But overall it was fine clean office nice staff.

There were two things that suprised me about the cleaning and the first was that they never offering sunglasses to reduce the glare of the light. The second odd thing was the dental hygienist didn't floss my teeth after she was polished them. Never in my life have I every gone to a cleaning without having my teeth flossed. The experience felt rushed and I think it may have been due the fact is was a Friday and the group wanted to enjoy an early weekend. The Dentist and Hygienist were both very nice but the visit was a little different than I had expected.

While performing a root canal, a bit of the drill broke off. Something minor to a dentist, but SCARY to someone who is already afraid of the dentist. While my mouth was still numb, she suggested I see another specialist in the Tysons area (which in the middle of the day was more than a 30 minute drive). Once their, the specialist refused to do anything and sent me back, Now remember, my mouth is still numb from the novacane. When back at the dentist, I had to wait almost 30 minutes for her to talk to me and refer me to another specialist all the way in Reston. I then had to wait a few days until he had an opening to see me. Once there, I had to wait another week for an appointment and he then performed the root canal which was more expensive than it should have been with Dr. Khattak. I was disappointed on how the whole thing played out and was way to expensive.

Dr. Khattak was very professional. Her staff was fantastic, very helpful and courteous. I was expecting to pay out of pocket for the entire visit, but the receptionist actually realized that my medical insurance provided dental coverage. She saved me over $100! Definitely went above and beyond.

Dr. Khattak moved efficiently through a complete exam, made her recommendations without a hint of the browbeating that her profession seems to favor for motivating home dental care. She provided a clear treatment plan with very reasonable prices, and carried out the first half of the deep cleaning with a minimum of discomfort.
