Dr. Fred Zargar began his career in professional dental care after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in General Science and Medical Technology and later his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors and ranked in the to 5% of his graduating class. Much of his diverse professional experience was acquired during his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at UMKC. He has completed a one year Post Doctorate Program in General Dentistry. Dr. Zargar attributes his ability to serve patients and provide excellence in clinical care his education.
Dr. Zargar proudly holds good standing memberships in the American Dental Association, the Central Arizona Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the National Honor Society (Omicron Kappa Upilson).
He has been happily married since 1987 and is the father of three children. Since leaving Kansas City in 1995, he and his family have resided in the Valley.

I did my appointment on line . Amazingly they had already confirmed my insurance details were up to date before the appointment. So there was no delay whatsoever.They thoroughly x rayed every single tooth to ensure none was skipped.Thereafter the doctor took time to explain all procedures clearly and a detailed summary of the treatment required on each tooth. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends

First and foremost, Dr. Zargar is a great clinician and always personable and a pleasure to deal with. I do however, find some fault with ZocDoc and their review process. I'm not sure I would believe any review that is posted on ZocDoc because of how curated and moderated the posts are. I guess it makes sense given who it is that pays their fees, but its disingenuous I suppose to say the least. I would highly encouage Dr Zargar to find another service or way to help book appointments online so that he may continue to deliver the highest quality patient experiece.

I was really put off and disappointed with my visit. I probably waited less than 30 minutes to be seen. However, once I got into the office and got X-rays, I sat in the exam chair in excess of 30 minutes without anyone coming by to tell me why it was taking so long or even what was going on.
Once Dr. Zargar came in, there was no apology or even acknowledgement that I had such a long wait. Then... the exam completely turned me off. I've never in my life had such a negative review of my dental health. In fact, I've always been told I've got great teeth. I'd never met these people in my life and within another 20 minutes I was handed a treatment plan for periodontal work that included significant expenses. When I told Dr. Zargar I was shocked by the diagnosis, he then said "I do have strong teeth", but went on to identify all of the things wrong.
The fact that I hadn't even gotten out of the exam chair and had a detailed list of all the work that needed to be done really turned me off. I have never had a dental exam like this in my life. And, frankly, I think it all could have been averted if their office had communicated better and I understood what they were doing and planning to do. I went in there thinking I was going for a simple cleaning...
Dr. Zargar's office was extremely flexible with an urgent issue for my wife. Being new to Phoenix, she was very pleased with how they treated her situation. That is the reason I chose to make an appointment.
I'm calling my dentist back home to get his take prior to moving forward.
