Every staff member I interacted with was extremely kind and made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. Dr. Buchanan was very friendly, funny, and explained things to me in a way that was easy to understand. Also, nice, clean offices.

Dr. Buchanan earned his DDS from Georgetown University School of Dentistry and received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Irvine. Having been in practice for over 25 years, Dr. Buchanan's practice emphasizes family, cosmetic, emergency, and comprehensive dentistry. He is a member of local and national dental societies and is a strong believer in continuing dental education, having taken hundreds of hours of courses focusing on cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Buchanan and his family relocated to Seattle from Rancho Santa Margarita, California in 1992 and founded Gateway Dental Centre of Seattle that same year. Previously he had maintained a private practice in Trabuco Canyon, California. Dr Buchanan has been married for 24 years and has 2 children. Dr. Buchanan has been actively involved with youth programs, coaching through the Bellevue Boys and Girls Club, the Lake Hills Soccer Club, as well as active participation with his daughters high school sports program.

I had no issues at all with any of the staff or the doctor. My appointment was at 8:30am and I wasn't called until 9, then after a couple X-rays, I waited for another 20 mins for the doctor. Really not helpful to wait that long when I have to get to work.

Dental office was nice, modern. The receptionist was pleasant. The dental assistant answered all of my questions and was pleasant. Dr. Buchanan was straight forward and plainly explained the dental procedures that he recommends.

Im 36 years old and have never had a better experience. Though the appointment was a simple cleaning and x-rays, the staff were prompt, professional, and friendly. Dr. Buchanan spent a lot of time with me explaining exactly what my x-rays revealed, and he was very friendly, knowledgable, and approachable.

Dr. Buchanan, and his staff are very professional. They put me at ease not to worry since I was feeling a lot of pain in my tooth, (my fault for waiting too long to make the appointment). They explained every step in the process, and willingly answered my questions in a simplified way. I especially would like to note they were very gentle, and concerned about making my experience as painfree as possible.

Dr. Buchanan was very professional, but also made sure that I undrerstood exactly what needed to happen. He was open to questions, and he and his team made me feel like I was taken care of very well. I have a follow-up appointment, and am actually looking forward to it! :)
