Excellent explanation of procedures and treatment plan, and an outstanding, professional staff. Dr. Bernard is highly experienced and an extremely caring periodontist. He did an excellent job with my extraction and implant. His staff (Vickie & Jenny) are always available to answer any of my questions. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Bernard!

Dr. Bernard completed his undergraduate education and his dental degree at the University of Minnesota. He spent two years as a general dentist in the Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. After four years of private practice in Mankato, Minnesota, he attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City Dental School and completed his specialty residency in Periodontics.
Dr. Bernard began practicing his specialty in the Air Force at Andrews Air Force Base and served his final two years of his four year commitment as Chief of Periodontics at Malcom Grow Medical Center. Dr. Bernard then moved to Denver where he established a private practice. After twenty years, he then moved to Scottsdale to establish a private practice.
Dr. Bernard is a member of the Academy of Periodontology, Western Society of Periodontists, Arizona Periodontists, Academy of Osseointegration and the American Dental Association.
He pursues continuing education to remain current on the newest and most advanced periodontic and dental techniques.
Dr. Bernard is married with three grown children and five grandchildren. He enjoys bicycling, golf and reading.
