Dr. Shahinyan received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University, and completed her general practice residency program at the Queens Hospital Center, of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Dr. Shahinyan is skilled in all phases of dentistry from simple maintenance procedures to restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She is certified to provide Invisalign treatment, and has completed various continued education courses to both maintain her licensure and to expand her medical expertise.

Dr. Shahinyan was very pleasant, professional, and thorough and didn’t make me feel guilty for not coming to her sooner. She cares to make sure you are comfortable and well taken care of and her staff is phenomenal. Definitely would recommend to anyone who isn’t to fond of dentists. Will definitely return for future appointments.

Dr. Shahinyan was wonderful. Very kind, professional, and patient. I felt I was in good hands! Her dental hygienist, Jazmine, is fantastic!!!! She spent almost an hour with me deep cleaning my teeth and providing such great service. I felt really comfortable and well taken care of. The office staff was friendly as well! It was a great visit and I will definitely be back for my next cleaning. I haven't had a new dentist in over 20 years, so I did my research to find a new one! I'm so glad I went with Dr. Shahinyan's practice.

It was great. There have been trips where I’ve had to wait a bit, but they’ve also been trips where I’ve been late and they fit me in. I like the balance. Dr. Shahiyan Is NYU trained in addition to her training in her home country. Lovely personality, will explain to you the pros and cons of whatever you do. Most times I go to the dentist and just want to get out of there, here I would’ve been pleased to linger.!

I appreciate how comfortable Dr. Shahinyan and staff made me feel. I always had problems with the x-ray probe fitting in my mouth. Usually other places would try to make it fit, cutting the roof of my mouth. However, the staff in this office found alternate ways to fit the X-ray probe with no problem. The cleaning by Dr. Shahinyan was the most thorough I have ever gotten. They explained procedures really well too. Thank you!

The dentist was ok. The person that did the procedure was impatient and seemed annoyed at times. They did not inform me beforehand that anesthesia would last hours. I went in for a consultation and did not think I’d have to cancel lunch plans as half my mouth was numb until the evening.

Haven’t been to the dentist in 7+ years. I got a root canal early this morning and Dr. Geghani and her assistant did very well in making me feel comfortable. Did I mention she made it so it was pain free?! Thanks ready for next weeks session now that I know I’m in good hands.

I'd put off a regular cleaning for years, and when I went to another dentist in the summer of 2017, they told me I'd need a 4 hour deep cleaning and braces and tried to set me up on a payment plan. So just didn't go back. Then I finally decided to actually take care of my dental health, and chose this place because I live nearby. They were efficient and friendly and were able to do the 45 minute deep cleaning right there. I did notice that the hygienist used the computer mouse while wearing her gloves, but maybe their computer mouse is more regularly cleaned than mine. But given I'd neglected my dental health for ~5 years, I'm super relieved I was able to resolve it with a deep clean that was done in an afternoon. Now I'll actually go every six months, like a grownup.
