More about Dr. George Hoop, DDS
Dr. George Hoop graduated from the Emory University School of Dentistry in 1986 with high honors, ranking second in a class of 87 students. While completing his studies, he received two scholarship awards based on his academic performance, in addition to other awards for academic excellence and his outstanding grasp of dental anatomy. Upon graduation, he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He then continued at the Emory University School of Postgraduate Dentistry as a research fellow in periodontics, completing a periodontal specialty residency in 1989.
In addition to his specialty degree in periodontics, Dr. Hoop has completed a 20-month course in dental implants at the renowned Misch Implant Institute, plus extensive continuing education courses with the world-renowned L.D. Pankey Institute. He has also taken numerous other courses in periodontics, implant dentistry, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and treatment for TMJ disorders.
Dr. Hoop has been in private practice in the Fort Myers area since 1991 and Naples since 2001. He and his wife Lisa have two children, Jason and Lindsay. His personal interests include fishing, gourmet cooking, woodworking, and family activities.
