I had a painful toothache and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Wank the next morning. He quickly diagnosed that I had a tooth infection, performed a root canal procedure, and saved my tooth! I highly recommend!

Dr. Gerald S. Wank, is a Clinical Professor of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. During his long career, Dr. Wank has been recognized with the Student Council Best Teacher Award, the Alumni Achievement Award, the New York University Meritorious Award, the Meritorious Service Award of the Eastern Dental Society, and the Distinguish Professor of Periodontology Award, among many others.
Despite his busy professional schedule, Dr. Wank also found time to become one of the most active alumni NYUCD has known. He had held every elective office in the NYUCD alumni and vigorously supported his alma mater both through fundraising leadership activities and through personal philanthropy, including a generous gift to make the Gerald S. and Gloria Wank Seminar Room. In the process, he earned membership in several of the university's leading donor recognition.

I went in for a cleaning and second opinion, and I was very impressed. Dr Wank was very friendly, well-mannered, and thorough. He made sure I was aware of the process from beginning to end. He knew what was wrong right away, and was flexible with my schedule for a follow up. Highly recommend!

Dr. Wank is not only an incredible dentist- but an incredible human. He called me at 9:40PM after booking my appointment and asked me a few questions regarding my excruciating pain that prior dentists were unable to know where its coming from and even pointed to the wrong tooth.
While on the phone he said “I’ll see you at 10:30”. I was thinking okay great I’ll be able to see him tomorrow morning, no, he meant that same night. 10:30PM. I couldn’t believe it. Godsend.
I went into his office in the middle of the night and Dr. Wank was able to diagnose the issue to be one of my wisdom tooth within minutes. 40 minutes later and I was out of the office with no pain.
I am so thankful and happy that not only great dentists like Dr.Wank exist, but that great humans like him exist. Who on earth would do such a gesture like that and leave his office at 12AM in the morning?
Dr.Wank- thank you. You are literally, a lifesaver.
I recommend anyone to go here.This is a dentist who cares.

Dr.Wank is wonderful! I had a such a great experience at his office. I made a same day appointment and was seen as soon as I arrived. The office is very clean and with a nice ambiance. His staff is also warm and welcoming, I had the pleasure of being assisted by Fara & Ormela. Ormela was extremely gentle during my cleaning. I look forward to coming in for my appointments

Dr. Wank is the best! Fun personality and bedside manner. He doesn’t BS you, tells you like it is and exactly what you need to keep your oral hygiene in check! Receptionist Farrah is a sweetheart and will accommodate your needs if necessary.

Just go and you won't regret. After my awful experience in the past I thought I won't be able to trust doctors anymore but...I'v been amazed by the fact how awesome, thoughtful and kind Dr.Wank is.
If you have any problems just go straight to him. Great service, great clinic and actually that was the first time I wasnt scared much. (I have a huge "dental" phobia).

I do not have enough good things to say about Dr. Wank. After I booked my appointment, he called me personally to thank me for choosing his office. On the day of my appointment, I was running a few minutes late, and he not only fit me in but completed xrays (and still got me out of the office in 30 minutes).
He comes from a long line of NYU dentist (both his dad and son) and is clearly passionate about dentistry and his patients.
If you are looking for a kind, passionate and thorough doctor (did I mention how clean the office is?) then this place is for you!

What a lovely dentist visit! I made an appointment via Zocdoc and I was called the next day to confirm the time and date. Upon arrival I was greeted so warmly by Farah, Michelle and Jennifer at the front desk. If you're looking for a dentist office that is efficient, honest about what the bill breakdown/insurance coverage is, and downright fun and welcoming, you've found the spot! Those ladies made me feel right at home and after checking in (and a bit of much needed chit chat in the middle of a long work day) I was promptly taken in for my cleaning with Marcy. What a delight! She was very thorough, quick and downright a dream to be around. Dr Wank was also great and has put together a great team and has a beautifully renovated office.
I appreciate those touches in a doctors appointment, especially at the dentist. I'm so happy I found this practice!

Wonderful first visit with Dr. Daniel Wank! Front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and polite. I was taken back into a room at my appointment time and did not have to wait at all. First a great cleaning done by a very sweet hygienist, followed by an exam with the doc. Dr. Wank is super nice, personable, funny, and it is certainly evident that he truly cares about his patients and staff. I felt so comfortable throughout my entire visit. Dr. Wank is a very professional with enlightened personality and lighthearted too. He is concerned about the patient and takes well care while treating the tooth.
I did an infliction treatment in the root canal and installed the crown for the molar teeth. I did that on three sessions and he did a good job.
I would definitely recommend him.

When moving to a new city, finding good doctors that personally meet your standards can take sometime to find, especially a dentist. I’ve had some horrid experiences at previous dentists so I’m always nervous to sit down in the chair for the first time.
I got a call from Dr. Wank right after booking my appointment to apologize that he was in a different location (a rather short distance away) for the day due to construction set backs but because he took the time to personally call me, I immediately felt comfortable and had no issues with riding the train 2 extra stops. Right when I walked in, the receptionists were so excited to see me and welcome me that I was actually excited for my cleaning!! Dr. Wank spent the entire visit with me, doing everything from the x rays to the cleaning and by the time it was over I felt like I made a new friend! 10/10 recommend and I have finally found my new dentist!

Dr.Wank did a great job on my chipped front tooth. He was able to see me right away and was nothing but professional. He was able to give me a bonding on my front tooth within 30 minutes and it looks good as new. Would absolutely recommend him for people looking for a dentist.
