I grew up in Prosser Washington and attended Washington State University for my Bachelor of Science in both Biochemistry and Biotechnology. I then spent a year living in Richland and working for the county. I attended dental school at the University of Washington and was a part of the first class of the RIDE initiative. This included spending my first year of dental school on the Riverpoint campus in Spokane as part of a collaboration between the University of Washington, Eastern Washington University and Washington State University. At the end of my schooling I spent 4 months working in a public health system north of Spokane.
After graduation I worked in Seattle before moving back to Prosser to commute to the Tri-cities. I now live in Kennewick. I continue my education with CE courses to stay as up to date as possible with all of the new techniques and changes that are happening in dentistry. By staying current with the materials and techniques available I feel I am able to present a wide range of options to patients to provide care that is tailored to their needs and expectations.
Patients often ask what made me want to be a dentist and find it hard to believe when I tell them I have had a lot of work done on my teeth. I was born with peg laterals which left spaces between my front teeth and caused them to come in crooked. I also did not floss when I was younger which contributed to numerous cavities. To correct these my dentist first removed all the decay in my mouth and then he created veneers that have completely changed my smile. I know firsthand how embarrassing teeth can be when they don't have the look we desire. Fortunately for me and everyone else in most cases these problems can be corrected.
My goal is to provide quality care for each and every patient. I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you and giving your whole family the care it needs.
When I am not at the office I can be found out on the river boating, up in the mountains snowboarding or hitting the links to play some golf. When I am in town I am usually working on my gardens or spending time with my large extended family. I also always find time for my Cougars. Go Cougs!
