Dr Harsh Shah is a general / restorative dentist treating patients in three locations in northern NJ: River Edge in Bergen County, Nutley in Essex County and Wanaque in Passaic County. Dr Shah has a background in engineering having received his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering (an especially appropriate degree for performing restorative and reconstructive dental treatment) at Steven’s Institute of Technology. His doctoral degree in dental medicine was from the University of Medicine and Dentistry here in New Jersey where he took part in extensive medical research and won numerous awards, including a prestigious fellowship at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. He received his general practice training at the Hackensack University Medical Center.
Dr Shah performs a full range of comprehensive oral health care for his patients, ranging from extensive oral and head and neck examinations and consultations, dental emergenices, root canals, oral and gum surgery, restorative procedures including crowns, bridges and composites, cosmetic procedures including veneers, onlays and tooth whitening, and prosthetics including dentures, mouthguards for TMJ disorders and for athletic protection, and pediatric dentistry.
When Dr Shah is not treating patients, he enjoys playing pool, squash and practicing martial arts in which he holds a black belt.
