I was impressed with the use of the latest technology. I liked the overall attention to detail and the pleasantness of the all the staff I came into contact with. I found the waiting time once I was seen, too long. Had I known, I would have planned accordingly. I would like to see the "chair time" reduced.

Dr. Hugh G. Allen is a 1990 graduate of the Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington D.C. He completed a Dental Internship in General Practice at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, New York in July 1991. He then associated in private practices in Brooklyn, NY, Union and Trenton, NJ before moving his family to Miramar, Florida in September of 1996. Dr. Allen has continued to excel in his field and his current practice has rapidly grown since opening on May 16, 2003. There are many factors that Dr. Allen attributes his success to. Foremost is the faith that when God places you in a position to do his work and you are obedient to that assignment, great things usually happen.
Dr. Allen and his staff provide individualized care, "Our patients feel like they are family. We truly care for our patients." Dr. Allen is great one on one, has excellent chairside manner and is a great listener. Patients are always complimenting on his touch. Not uncommon is the quote, "You're good with that needle, I didn't feel a thing."
Dr. Allen and his staff are committed to providing the highest quality care and actually make the dental experience "pleasant." To this end also, Dr. Allen has invested in the best of the latest technology to ensure his patients are getting the best possible care.
Dr. Allen has been married to his wife Novel for 18 years and they have a daughter Danielle. He is an active member of the Covenant Seventh Day Adventist Church. In his spare time, Dr. Allen is usually in the gym (YMCA), reading or watching TV (Sports or CNN). He is an avid Washington Redskins and Miami Heat fan.
Dr. Allen is active professionally. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the South Florida District Dental Association.

Wonderful man and great office. The office is on Flamingo and Pembroke Road...my Waze took me on a roundabout path...so I was late to the appointment and they were lovely. That said, my rating is on them as a dental office and dentist. Great job and clearly stated my issues.

The staff and Dentist were extremely kind and professional. It felt like Dr. Allen genuinely cared and took the time to really look at my dental health in detail. He performed the necessary tests to figure out what was wrong with my tooth
The waiting time was a bit frustrating, but this was my first visit so I do plan to give it another go and not make the assumption that it is normally like this. My appointment was initially at 6pm but I was called by the front desk to make my appointment earlier (at 5pm) in order to make time for the consultation and cleaning. I used my time off from work to leave early and arrived at 4:50pm and was called in at 6pm, so this added to the frustration. I left at 8pm and still had not done the cleaning so I will have to reschedule.
That aside, my experience with the staff and dentist were very positive. I will be scheduling my cleaning with them to see how it goes :)

I have been coming to Dr. Allen for about 4 or 5 months now and I absolutely love it. Prior to him, I had seen a dentist who did fillings about 2 years ago and left something in my mouth coupled with having horrible bedside manners. However, Dr. Allen is wonderful and so is his entire staff. The wait is never long. He makes sure that you are okay the entire time. It is a very comfortable place. I recommend him to family and friends that ask about a dentist all of the time. You will not regret going to him. He tells you the truth like it is but not in a threatening manner; he genuinely cares.

Dr. Allen acted very professional and made me an appropriate treatment plan based on my insurance coverage and pregnancy. He made my fiancé and I feel very comfortable and welcomed. Dr. Allen has a wonderful sense of humor as we made jokes out of serious matters in an appropriate way! If you don't like going to the dentist or have had a bad experience with another dentist I can guarantee Dr. Allen can change your opinion on dental visits!!
