I have been going to Dr. Lans for over 10+ years and every visit is warm & friendly! The staff greets me by first name on entering, the hygienist is so gentle and thorough & Dr. Lans always compliments my teeth! I've recommended several friends to this dentist!

Dr. Lans has been providing outstanding dental services to the Northern Virginia area since 1978. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Queens College of the City University of New York in 1973 before going on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University in 1977.
In order to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field of dentistry, Dr. Lans maintains active membership in numerous prestigious professional organizations such as the Academy of General Dentistry, the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Sports Dentistry and the Crown Council, an alliance of leading-edge dental teams throughout North America.
Dr. Lans is actively involved in various volunteer organizations. He is a partner in “Smiles For Life,” a foundation that helps raise money for severely ill and needy children. He performs annual mouth exams and oral screening at local elementary schools, and he and his staff wrote, produced and directed a dental prevention play called “BE A STAR AT WAR AGAINST CAVITIES” which they performed at numerous elementary schools and hospitals throughout the Northern Virginia area.
Dr. Lans has been voted one of Northern Virginia’s Top Dentists by both patient and peer surveys!

Yesterday was my first visit to Lans Family Dentistry with my two children. I was very impressed!!! The staff was extremely pleasant and the office was very clean. It was a warm environment and very kid friendly. After my cleaning Dr Lans did a thorough exam. He spent a lot of time discussing certain areas of concern. He was very professional and pleasant. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends. Overall, it was a great experience!
