Dr. Ivey Lipman grew up in Old Bridge, New Jersey with a strong desire to become a dentist since she was 3 years old. Spending time in the dental chair herself along with volunteering throughout high school at her dentist’s office only validated that this profession was the right one for her. Dr. Lipman received a scholarship for academic achievement to the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL, where she obtained her B.S. in psychology with minors in biology and chemistry. Following four years in Florida she headed north to attend Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine, eventually graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Following graduation, it was important for Dr. Lipman to further her dental education and improve her clinical skills to excel in her profession. To accomplish her goals, she completed a 1 year general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, treating and managing patients with various medical concerns in a hospital environment. At Montefiore she treatment planned and executed complex cases while treating patients with complicated and extensive medical histories, giving her a well-rounded residency experience. She also firmly believes that dental education does not stop after the completion of residency. It is important for her to learn and grow as a practitioner through continuing education courses as new dental research expands and improves the technology available, dental materials, and the overall way dentistry is being practiced.
Dr. Lipman’s most important goal is to educate her patients and emphasize preventative treatment in order for her patients to avoid past dental problems from recurring.

The office environment is friendly and the views from that high up in the Chrysler Building are stunning. Everyone from the desk assistants, to the insurance staff to the hygienists were extremely friendly and straightforward. Dr. Lipman is fantastic, not sure there's a more concise way to describe her balance in level of professionalism and casual demeanor. She will level with you to the point where you really should not leave with ANY unanswered questions. I'm not switching dentists for as long as I'm still living in the city and honestly, it would be worth the trip in even if I didn't.

The staff at the office were helpful with setting up the appointment and insurance info and very efficient when I got there.
Dr. Lipman was extremely nice and knowledgeable. I had not been to dentist in several years but she gave me a great cleaning and set up a plan for future treatments.

Very efficient, cleaning appointment was at 4pm, I arrived at 3:50pm and was brought in immediately to do x-rays. Cleaning was finished by 4:30pm.
Dr. Lipman was easy to work with, efficient, great bedside manner. She took the time to explain what she was doing which was refreshing. The view from their Chrysler Building office is also amazing, that alone might be enough incentive to get your teeth cleaned every 6 months.

Fantastic experience as a new patient! Was able to have a 6:00pm appointment on a Tuesday which is perfect because I work Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm. Definitely recommended.

She was good. Quick regular checkup. But she didn't talk about conditions of my teeth at all. Were they in good shape? Bad shape? How was the X-ray etc. I had to ask if there was any bleeding from gums during cleaning. There wasn't, but she should mention those.

Dr. Lipman is very attentive and has great bedside manners. She was not only professional, knowledgeable and courteous, but she was also friendly, and she made feel really comfortable. From the moment I stepped into the office until the minute I left, I just had an all around excellent experience with her and the staff.
You can tell Dr. Lipman enjoys what she does and cares about her patients. Lastly, she did an amazing job with my teeth. Unless I move away from NYC, I'm not going to any other dentist.

Going to the dentist should always be like this. She was absolutely the best! I went before work and was seen very quickly. The office is relaxing and quiet. The view from my chair was spectacular and quite calming. I never felt rushed and Dr. Lipman was extremely patient and thorough. Not to mention her super cue dental assistant. Needless to say I will definitely be returning, she has a life long patient with me!

Dr Lipman is incredibly professional and makes you feel very comfortable. She is the best dentist I've ever seen, and I finally feel like I've found my permanent dentist! After some X rays, I was told that I was developing some cavities and should get them fixed. After my session, I could feel food always getting stuck on on the tooth that she worked on. I went back in but think it was only made worse. I unfortunately think she opened it up rather than fix it and I have been having lots of problem ever since.

This was my first experience with Zen Dentistry as I just moved to NYC recently. The office was incredibly nice, professional and VERY caring.
