Dr. Jason A Kahan is a lifelong Columbus resident. After graduating from Bexley High School, he received a BS in Sociology and Immunology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Upon returning to the Columbus area, Dr. Kahan spent 2 years researching the AIDS virus in an immunology lab at Ohio State University Medical Center; resulting in 2 publications which he co-authored. He then received his DDS from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He has been practicing on the east side of Columbus for the past 10 years.
As part of his commitment to continuing education, Dr. Kahan is involved in numerous organizations and study clubs including the ADA, ODA, CDS, and the Seattle Study Club. He recently completed a year long surgical fellowship in implant dentistry through the Carl Misch Institute and was granted fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Most recently, Dr. Kahan was accepted as a member of the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics for his use of Botox to treat patients with facial pain and migraines.
Dr. Kahan lives on the East side with his wife of 11 years, Jessica, and their two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, yoga and sitting sideline while his daughters explore soccer, karate and piano.

I reserve my comment regarding Kahan, D.D.S. However, he seemed fine when I consulted with him. But once I had a complaint about Shay, the x-ray tech. He seemed annoyed with me not her. She cut my mouth twice in the same place, after I told her it hurt, then she did it a second time. After that, Shay jammed the film back in my mouth, cutting the top of my mouth, making me jag hard; almost throwing-up. NOT ONCE did she say she was Sorry! Shay had absolutely NO professional manner; she wasn't even nice. I mentioned I liked her name; but got no response. I told her she was hurting me- to bad- she just hurt me more. When I told the Dr. that my mouth was cut and bleeding; he seemed to be upset with me NOT her. The only "saving grace" was the nice young lady at the front desk. She said she was SORRY. Even though she did nothing but remain nice. She had more professionalism in her little finger than Dr. Kahan and Shay. They certainly did not make a good first impression with me. Where are manners, kindness and empathy? My mouth still hurts 3 hrs after just trying to get x-rays. That's NOT supposed to happen. Where are the ADULTS? Where are the PROFESSIONALS?? I'm sad; I did nothing to deserve this treatment.
