Dr Matsushino first became interested in the dental field while attending the University of California Santa Barbara, where he worked part time as a dental surgical assistant. There, he worked closely with patients during routine and surgical procedures and discovered that the dentistry is where his passion lay. After his graduation from UCSB, he went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Pacific, Arthur A Dugoni School of Dentistry, and then advanced his dental education by completing a General Practice Residency program with New York Hospital Queens, Weill Medical School of Cornell. He then returned from New York to join his uncle, Dr Fuiks, in practice here in Midtown Sacramento. Outside of the office, you can often find Dr Matsushino traveling with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors and training for triathlons.
