More about Dr. Joi L. Edwards, DMD
Dr. Edwards was born and raised in Atlanta and has been practicing dentistry in Georgia for over 20 years. She graduated from the Atlanta Public School system in 1991 where her mother retired as a teacher after more than 45 years of service in Elementary Education. In 1995, she received her Bachelor of Science from Howard University in Washington D.C. Then she continued on to the Medical College of Georgia, in Augusta, to complete a degree for Doctor of Dental Medicine.
In a pursuit to support the next generation of medical professionals, Dr. Edwards served as an interim professor at Morehouse School of Medicine. Additionally, she serves as Chair and mentors youth through Big Kidz Foundation, a non profit organization, promoting Arts education and Humanities.
For over 20 years, Dr. Edwards has been a resident of both Austell and Atlanta where she lives with her two Maltipoo dogs, Max and Miles. When she isn’t practicing dentistry, she enjoys dance, golf and skeet shooting lessons. Also she often explores the greater Atlanta area capturing its scenic landscape through photography.
