Dr.DeRario graduated from the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1973. He opened his 1st private practice in 1974 and expanded his practice in 1986 with the opening of his New York office at 245 Park Avenue. Dr. DeRario continues his post graduate studies annually in the various areas of dentistry, including periodontics, prosthetic and implantology. In 1986 he earned a degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine's two-and-a-half year continuing education program in implantology. In 1989 he received his Implant Fellowship from the International Congress of Implantology.
Dr. DeRario also runs a consulting firm with clients across the country(including Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey and Michigan). He lectures and runs seminars on the technical aspects of dentistry and managerial improvement on the business of dental practice.
r. Lorman graduated from the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1994. He was then chosen to participate in a residency program at St. Luke's Hospital in Utica, New York. He provided treatment for over 2,000 patients in the dental clinic from 1994 to 1995.
Dr. Lorman has been in private practice since 1995, he continues his post graduate studies in extensive endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, prosthetics and is certified in Invisalign®.

The staff at Dr Derario's office were very friendly. The facilities are also hygenic and well-maintained. However Dr Derario himself was inconsistent in his responses to my questions and would often interupt me when I was speaking. At the end of the consult, I decided against the procedure. I got the impression that he was disappointed that I was not a revenue-generating patient for him because at the end he then took an extra two x-rays, having already taken two x-rays, in order to make a bit of extra money. When finished, I asked him if all was well. He said responded "yes, for you. You got what you wanted". A bizarre comment from a dentist who is meant to place his patient's wellbeing before financial self-interests.

Wow!! I cannot rave enough. It sucks how much people hate going to the dentist, because there are some really great ones out there. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and was taken into an exam room almost immediately.
Dr. DeRario has EXCELLENT bedside manner. We went over my history the throughly and he took time and explained what my options were and the pros and cons of each. I felt very confident with his professional opinion. The dental techs were great and made my x-rays as comfortable as possible, and before I even scheduled my next appointment, the had reviewed my treatment plan with my insurance and told me exactly how much I would need to pay out of pocket. My follow up appointments were scheduled immediately and I'm quite happy with our plan! I would recommend him to anyone. The office is BEAUTIFUL and really convenient of you are a busy professional with an office near Grand Central! Wonderful experience.

If you have a dental implant of your own you know the process is not exactly speedy. It takes time to do it right and that's exactly what he did. That was especially important in my case as the implant was on my two front teeth. It's been over a year in the making and now that we're finished, I couldn't be happier. Once the implant was in and healing (which takes several weeks) he replaced my temporary crowns twice. He wanted to make sure I looked good for my wedding photos. (That's how this whole thing got started.....my wife wanted me to fix my dead, browning teeth for our wedding). Even though they were just temporary crowns Dr. Derario took his time to make them look as good as he possibly could. He's like an artist with these things....constantly adjusting and readjusting to make them just right. They looked GREAT!!!! He even had me come in for a quick polish the day before the wedding. And now that the permanent crowns are finally in I've been smiling ear to ear for all the world to see. Dr. Derario is the best in the business when it comes to implants!!!!

Dr. Derario is amazing. He fixed a persistent issue I was having with a crown that just didn't fit right or feel comfortable. As soon as he was involved in the process, he immediately did the crown completely over and fitted me with a temporary that was just as good as the real crown. I no longer had any pain and the finished crown came out beautiful and fits amazing. He is warm, gentle and very caring with each step he takes as he works on your teeth. I finally found the right dentist for my ongoing dental care and I would highly recommend him to anyone!!!!
Also, I've never waited more than a few minutes to be seen for any appointment in this office. In fact, as soon as I sit down in the waiting room and pick up a magazine, I am called into the room!!!

I do not like dentist I tend to associate them with pain. Dr. Derario is very gentle, he makes every effort to insure you are comfortable and relaxed. I am very sensitive and he makes sure I am not in any pain. I have been seeing him for 7 + yrs and I would recommend him to anyone. This doctor is simply the best.

Dr. DeRario is an amazing dentist. He possesses the professional expertise and superior technical skills that I want in a dentist. His self confidence and reassuring manner, along with a gentle touch really helped make me feel comfortable and calm during a recent involved dental procedure. Dr. Derario is great. Very knowledgeable and highly skilled with the great disposition that puts one at ease right away(very needed when you are about to get your tooth worked on or extracted). He also has a very light hand, his anesthesia shots did not hurt at all. I highly recommend Dr. Derario.
