Dr. Kenechi Okany, of Nigerian descent, was raised in Miami. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. where she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society.
Dr. Okany went on to complete her surgical training in Periodontics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York. During her residency, Dr. Okany was awarded the esteemed Appel Periodontics Medal for Excellence in Periodontics and served as Chief Resident in her final year.
Dr. Okany has a passion for community outreach and helping those who live in under-resourced communities receive proper dental services and education. She also loves visiting her home country of Nigeria and looks forward to the chance to return there to do mission work. In her free time, she enjoys staying physically active, cooking (and eating), and spending time with friends and family (especially her cute little nephews).
