Dr. Muñoz began his career as a dentist in 2014 when he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre Y Maestra, Santiago, Dominican Republic. After practicing in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Muñoz continued his studies at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where he completed a two-year residency, earning his DDS. Prior to joining Smiles of Fort Myers when it opened in 2023, he treated patients at several private dental offices in Southwest Florida including Ave Maria Dentistry, Naples Implant & Sedation Dentistry, Estero Bay Dental, and Community Dental Care.
Dr. Muñoz is passionate about providing patient-centered care and building relationships to facilitate trust. An active listener, he incorporates patient goals and concerns in all treatment recommendations, offering different options to meet their desired result. Patients appreciate Dr. Munoz’s compassionate attitude, gentle touch, and commitment to achieving the very best outcome for every patient.
Dr. Muñoz brings a diverse range of clinical skills to our Fort Myers office. From techniques for preserving teeth such as fillings, root canals, and crowns to extractions to implants, full restorations, and periodontal surgical procedures, he offers a broad array of solutions for his patients’ dental needs. He is a certified Invisalign provider.
Committed to bringing state-of-the-art care to his patients, Dr. Muñoz stays up-to-date with the latest developments through continuing education. Some examples of continuing education he has pursued include advanced endodontics (including root canals), implant placement, and comprehensive treatment planning.
