Dr. Kenya McCalebb began her undergraduate educational journey at Northern Illinois University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. She continued her post baccalaureate education at Rush University in Chicago and received her Master of Science degree in Biotechnology.
Realizing that her passion for health, science and technology would be more fulfilled in a career that directly serves and cares for people, Dr. McCalebb furthered her education in pursuit of a career in Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College in 2015. Her professional journey continued at Marquette University when Dr. McCalebb completed a 1-year residency program in Advanced General Dentistry where she was able to enhance her professional skills and knowledge. Her advanced training included all aspects of dentistry with emphasis on Comprehensive Care and Health Awareness.
Dr. McCalebb is a native of the South Shore community in Chicago. She enjoys exercising, bike riding, cooking, traveling, as well as spending time with her family and friends. She’s an absolute animal lover especially dogs. She also enjoys dancing, attending summer festivals in Chicago and listening to a variety of music. Dr. McCalebb is also a member of Apostolic Church of God in the Woodlawn community.
She has been involved with many community outreach programs including numerous health fairs and health screenings to promote and enhance the importance of healthcare and dentistry. Dr. McCalebb is happy to return to her hometown and to join Barnes Walton Associates, Ltd and to make a difference in the community through giving back and providing exceptional patient care and service.

My visit with Dr. McCalebb was great, she was very informative and walked me through everything before she started my cleaning. Dr. McCalebb went a step further taking my blood pressure and checking my lymph nodes before starting. The actual cleaning was painless, she was very gentle and half the time I didn't realize she was in my mouth. Overall, I was a happy patient and my teeth were squeaky clean!

I believe Dr. McCalebb and her assistant - Kenya, I believe - were very professional and friendly throughout my experience. I am usually intimidated by the thought of going to the dentist, but they ensured both of my visits were very easygoing and I felt a lot better about the health of my teeth after the visits. Dr. McCalebb did a great job ensuring my mouth was fully numb before operating and I didn't have to wait long after my visit for it to wear off. The office was clean and I enjoyed my conversation with the staff. I would recommend Barnes Walton to anyone, especially someone who is usually intimidated by a dental office; Barnes Walton is not one to be afraid of.

I have been going to the dentist since I was a kid & I've never had a dentist as thorough & caring as Dr. McCalebb. She took her time on my exam, explained my x-rays to me & most importantly took the time out of her busy day to explain my treatment plan to me in detail. I highly recommend her.
