I didn’t actually make it to my appointment until 9/10, but I had an excellent experience. I came in for a scaling and root planing and the dental hygenist (Bismah?) was very patient with me and my dental anxiety. She had great teaching for me about dental hygiene as well. I make the drive to this office because it’s worth it for the care they give to their patients.

The staff and dentist were very helpful with me coping with the injection of anesthesia for a scaling treatment and willing to find workarounds for things which were difficult for me. One particular staff member let me hold her hand, which I found to be really comforting while dealing with the anxiety of the procedure. Great office with great people!

Dr. Patel is a first-generation American who was born and raised in the Midwestern United States. She was the first in her family to earn a college degree and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Biology from Creighton University in Nebraska. From there Dr. Patel attended Creighton University School of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). She then worked in both corporate and private practices, building experience and knowledge in all forms of dentistry before opening Southern Charm Dental in Richmond, TX.
Dr. Patel is dedicated to educating the Richmond community about the importance of good oral hygiene and proper dental care. She focuses on preventive dentistry, one of her favorite things is seeing a patient’s smile when they realize they have optimal oral health and empowers them to maintain it.
The most important thing in Dr. Patel’s life is her family. She and her father shared the dream of her becoming a dentist, and the opening of her Richmond dental clinic was her greatest achievement thus far. She is excited about the future of Southern Charm Dental and is eager to see it grow with her dental team, patients, and family.
Outside of her Richmond family dental practice, Dr. Patel enjoys time with her family, watching films, baking, and cooking.

I have a hard time with x-rays and dental work because I have a strong gag reflex. She worked with me to take x-rays quickly and efficiently without much stress, which I greatly appreciated! She explained everything clearly and was very compassionate.

The waiting area is clean, neat and fab decor. Her staff was so nice and friendly...I love how up to date Dr Krupa is on the paperwork process all electronic and X-rays are done while laying back and enjoying Netflix. I loved her dental assistant very proficient and fast doing X-rays and assisting Dr. Krupa with my cleaning. I don't have a single complaint....not one time while I was there was I uncomfortable. I have found my forever Dentist and I will be saving my coins for teeth whitening.

Dr. Patel and her team were and are amazing!!!! I haven’t gone to the dentist in awhile and they explained in detail everything that has happened with my teeth and gums throughout the years. I loved how they were all so friendly and professional and that they explained in ways I could understand. I recommend her to everyone! She and her team checked up on me often while I was getting my deep cleaning which I was so nervous with all those drilling sounds! Definitely if you’re new to Zocdoc like I am, a visit with her is definitely worth it!

Dr. Patel and her staff were very efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. I was super nervous, and she was able to relate and explain the whole procedure to me. The flat screen TV over my head was also a good distraction, while my teeth was being extracted. My mother was with me at the time, she was very impress with the staff and office hours. She will be switching dentist soon! Plus, they had snacks in the waiting room.

I enjoyed my visit with Dr. Patel today and I really look forward to continuing to come to the office. The office was clean, offered a very warm-home atmosphere and the staff was nice and professional. The room where my X-rays and treatment was done was also well kept and the dental assistants kept me updated on what they were doing as I waited in between X-rays. I enjoyed an episode of friends while my treatment was underway with Dr. Patel. Dr. Patel explained to me what teeth needed to be treated and how fluoride treatment is important because no other dentist ever told me this and even gave me a discount on the fluoride treatment which I'm very grateful. My over all experience was wonderful and soon as I left her office I texted my sister recommending the office to her as well, I look forward to bringing my family to Dr. Patel, her office and staff makes the office a friendly atmosphere.
