“The staff was perfectly cordial and helpful however I will not be returning for needed dental work due to the cleanliness of the office. Very dirty all around. Not exactly ideal when you are getting work done in your mouth ??”

About Dr. Lauren Maizes

*Cleanings are scheduled following new patient exams/xray's Dr. Maizes was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Palm Harbor, Florida. She achieved her D.D.S. in 2020 from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia. During dental school, Dr. Maizes participated in week to month-long rotations in underserved areas of Virginia and Mission of Mercy projects providing free dental care to rural communities throughout Virginia. Prior to joining Florida Dental Centers, Dr. Maizes completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Bay Pines VA Hospital in Bay Pines, Florida where she had extensive training in treating medically compromised patients. She is a member of the Florida Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Outside the office, Dr. Maizes and her husband enjoy traveling, spending time with family, relaxing with their two cats, and being outside on the water. Dr. Maizes loves to help people love their smile! Volunteering / Philanthropy / Community Involvement: Piedmont Virginia Health Foundation, Mechanicsville Christian Dental Center, Paths Community Dental Center, Charlottesville Free Dental Clinic; Chesapeake Care Clinic, Middlesex Free Health Clinic, Park Place Health and Dental Clinic - Served the local communities providing root canal therapies, extractions, and restorative procedures. Office does not accept liberty "medicaid' insurance. I'm disappointed because i went to Liberty mutual website to find a dentist and it led me to this office. I could NOT notify zocdoc because the notifications did not give me option or box to check off that office does not accept my insurance. I should have never gotten this far in the process if dentist did not take my insurance. What a waste of time this was. Having a 3rd party to book through is NOT efficient. If the dentist office booked directly would have saved me tons of time.

Office was all cubicles not individual patient rooms. Only 1 x ray machine and the dentist barely looked at my teeth before telling me I had 2 cavities and then walked away while the staff proceeded to talk to me about payment and costs. Very impersonal. Air conditioner was handing out of the wall. Not a warm or welcoming office environment and compared to other offices machinery was very out of date.
