Dr. Brannon Reed was born in Glenville, West Virginia. In high school he served as student body president and was chosen all state in football and basketball at Texas A&M University. Brannon was accepted into West Virginia University Dental School after only 3 years of under graduate studies. At the time of his graduation, he was one of the youngest students to complete this program.
Upon graduation, Dr. Reed spent 3 years in West Berlin, Germany, as a captain in the United States Army Dental Corps. His oldest son, Joshua, was born there. Brannon was able to travel extensively in Europe and the Middle East, which helped form his life long obsession with adventure travel.
Following Dr. Reed’s discharge from the military, he opened his first dental practice in the restored colonial town of Williamsburg, Virginia. Second son, Joel, was born shortly after moving to town. All of the Reed boys were drawn to the west. Josh graduated high school from Whiteman School, in Steamboat Springs, CO. At the time Whiteman was developing Olympic Skiers, which Josh aspired to be. Having Family in the Phoenix area, visiting Joshua, and skiing and rock climbing in the west became too attractive to the family, necessitating the move to Arizona, after having practiced in Virginia for 16 years.
Another pursuit, or passion, came to fruition here in the phoenix area when Dr. Reed opened the mountain sports company, Ascend Arizona, followed by Ascend Adventures, an adventure travel company. These additions to the Reed family lifestyle opened up new vistas for even more adventure. Brannon and his sons have led expeditions to some of the world’s highest mountains and most exciting white water rivers. Frequently visited have been Costa Rica, Ecuador, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Africa and Europe.

I have had several Dentists in the past but I have never felt as comfortable as I do here. Dr. Reed and his entire staff really make you feel like a friend rather the a patient or a number. The service they provide is as good as their customer service too! I like to smile and they keep me smiling in more ways then one. I would highly recommend them.
