This guy is wonderful. This is the second time in three years I've come to him, as a result of my dentist telling me to get a consultation of whether or not I need a root canal. Both times Dr Portugeys did a thorough examination and gave me the great news of saying he didn't think I needed a root canal, but rather a simple treatment plan my dentist can take care of. I appreciate his honesty, thoroughness and expertise, as I am sure there are plenty of people who would say you needed one or would need to open up the area to see. If I ever do actually need a root canal, I trust I'll be in good hands. He also gets an A+ for virtually no waiting time. I didn't even make it through 3 photos of my instagram feed, and boom, it was my turn.

Dr. Leonid Portugeys has many years of specialty training. He completed general Dental practice residency at Stony Brook University, and post graduate Endodontic residency at The New York University.
The office is equipped with a computerized dental anesthesia system, digital X-rays, C-Scan and a high-powered microscope used for every procedure. With two easy to access office locations our team of highly-skilled professionals are always ready and willing to make every effort to make your endodontic experience as pleasant and worry-free as possible.
New patients are welcome to consult with Dr. Portugeys and learn about their condition, understand all available treatment options, and have their questions and concerns resolved. Patient visits are scheduled with extra time allowing for same day treatment and personalized care.

The doctor was one of the most straight forward doctor. Not only that he made sure I was numb and comfortable throughout my procedure and you can see he genuinely cared. I recommend him to anyone getting ready for a root canal he did an awesome job no wait at all and procedure took about 30-45 minutes!

I had a root canal done, so this was not exactly fun and games to begin with. However, given that context, everything was first class. The DDS knows and performs his stuff excellently. I don't think a root canal procedure could have possibly been any better.
