Dr. Su is great! She explains everything very well and gives me a lot of confidence in the plan she puts together for me. She's also very good about always getting pre-treatment quotes to make sure that pricing will be accurate and not surprise me on the back end - which is MUCH appreciated!

Dr. Su is a caring and amazing doctor. I have seen multiple dentists about my teeth. Many of them, especially the ones associated with the chain business, try to persuade me to do those expensive procedures, but Dr. Su is not one of them. She offered me honest opinion and gave me the most affordable and sensible option.

Dr. Li-An Su was born in Taiwan. As a teenager, she moved to Los Angeles with her family. Because of her bi-cultural background, she speaks both English and Mandarin Chinese fluently. Growing up, she has contemplated a career in many fields: art, music, science, medicine, environmental conservation, and botany, but eventually settled on dentistry due to its unique ability to combine art and medicine in practice. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology, with concentration in Microbiology and Genetics, from University of California, Los Angeles. She then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston and received her D.M.D. degree in 1999. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
While attending Tufts University in Boston, Dr. Su fell in love with New England and its people and decided to practice dentistry in the Boston area. After working in the Greater Boston area for various dental offices, she founded Radiance Dental in 2004. She chose Reading as the location of her practice because of the wonderful people and easy accessibility to the public.
In her dental practice, Dr. Su has worked with people from all walks of life, giving her the confidence in treating young children, special-needs patients and patients from different cultural backgrounds. She has often participated in Give Kids A Smile program sponsored by American Dental Association.
Outside dentistry, Dr. Su runs, scuba dives, and practices yoga. She incorporates the calming effect of yoga breathing in her dental practice. She is a classically trained pianist and oboist. On a beautiful sunny day, she can also be found covered in dirt, digging in her garden. Dr. Su was also voted one of Massachusetts Top Dentists 2019 per Boston Magazine.

I thought that Dr. Li had excellent bedside manner. She was calm, courteous and knowledgeable about the latest in dentistry. She took the time to explain to me the procedures, and to explain my personal care plan. She then proceeded to clean my teeth with excellent detail to each tooth and great attention to my overall comfort. She gave me a reference to an oral surgeon to deal with my wisdom teeth. She doesn't even judge you for not flossing, but she will tell you the risks associated with such neglect! She seems to care about you as a person, which I believe should be the mannerism of all doctors. You won't feel like you're at the dentist when you're in Dr. Li's care.

I am a returning patient of Dr. Su and find her professional, reassuring and have faith in her treatment & advice. Highly recommend her to people considering/needing a new dentist. Her staff is always very kind & professional. I am an anxious dental patient after having had many years of extensive dental work/treatment (prior to coming to Dr. SU) and so one could say I have PSTD when it comes to dental work - I find her very calming and patient. So anyone who has dental treatment anxiety will find her to be a very caring and calming practitioner.

This was my first visit. I only had to fill out the short paperwork and then was seen immediately. It had been a while since I've been to the dentist, so they did a full mouth x-ray and then a quick cleaning and i'm already set up to get one of my cavities filled. Dr Su and her staff were all efficient and very nice. Glad to have found my new dentist.
