My name is Dr. Liliana Calkins. I have loved dental science since childhood, when my sister, Lupita, and I embarked upon parallel careers in orthodontics. I love learning, and I travel frequently to learn about the latest advancements directly from the doctors who invented them. I study with some of the finest minds in our industry, from the elite Dawson Academy to my friends and mentors from the Piper Education and Research Center of St. Petersburg, Florida, Dr. Mark Piper and Dr. Jim McKee.
I hold two degrees in dentistry and another two in orthodontics (one from Mexico, one from the USA). I believe that when we combine the most advanced techniques with the most advanced orthodontic technology, we make your treatment quicker, more comfortable, and more successful.
Throughout my career, I have met some of the most humanitarian dental practitioners like Dr. Donna Grant-Mills, Dr. Earl Kudlick, Dr. Andrew Cobb and Dr. Craig Dufresne. I have learned from them the value of community service, and I am proud that this practice is part of the beautiful city of Reston, Virginia. I sponsor 16 local schools, and offer free or discounted orthodontic treatment for needy local children. I proudly support our community; you’ll see me in many events.
