He was so nice, and put me at ease.. I've been afraid of dentists since I was a child, but I will definitely be returning to dr wolfer for all my dental needs! He was very precise and considerate of my feelings.. I've never had such a pleasant experience!!!! As a matter of fact, my whole family will start seeing him, and they can't wait!

Dr. Wolfer has been practicing general dentistry for over 33 years. He attended dental school at Temple University School of Dentistry and received a DDS degree in 1978. He worked alongside his father, Dr. Benjamin Wolfer, also a Temple graduate, for one year in his Brooklyn office. In 1979, Dr. Wolfer took over the Hicksville office of a retiring dentist and expanded the facility to what you see today.
His professional memberships include the Academy of General Dentistry, Associate Fellowship from the World Clinical Laser Institute and is a member of the Integrated Dental Study Club. As a member in good standing in the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Wolfer must take 75 credit hours every 3 years in continuing dental education to be licensed and stay up to date in the latest training and innovations in the dental field.
Dr. Wolfer has been a laser dentist for over 7 years and through this technology is able to provide certain treatment to his patients only possible with the laser.
Our office philosophy is a simple one: regular checkups to avoid costly treatment and preserve ones teeth for a lifetime. The best treatment for those patients with less than perfect teeth is to complete all treatment necessary and then maintain your oral health through regular dental exams.
In his spare time, Dr. Wolfer races his formula race car in the SCCA at tracks throughout the Northeast. He is also interested in WW2 history.

This was my first time seeing Dr. Wolfer. Upon entering in the office, I was greeted by a nice office assistant in the front. However, when I went into the actual dental room, I was accompanied by a “Dental Assistant” who did not have the best social or professional demeanor at all. Not once was I asked my name, and she didn’t introduce herself either. I was a new patient, the least you can do is introduce yourself. she had extremely nervous chatter talking about her family life and things I did not ask, nor need to know. Again, she didn’t even ask for my name. She made a comment that was completely inappropriate and used the term “sped” which is incredibly offensive. Dr. Wolfer then came in to do the actual cleaning, not much of a warm welcome either. Just came in and did what he had to do. Again, I still was never asked my name. The simplest things make such a different in an experience. I would recommend creating an inviting environment, personal and professional. Ask me my name. Ask me how I heard of this office. I’d assume he would want to be referred to others but I do not feel comfortable recommending this office to others, sadly.
