Dr Safar was able to fit me in same day - I was on vacation in the area and had a serious toothache. She diagnosed the problem, gave me some temporary pain relief and gave me a great referral for doctor that specializes in root canals - which I was able to get done the following day. I'd switch to her as my regular dentist if I lived in the area - she is great!

After graduating dental school she became a commissioned officer of the United States Navy, and was first stationed in Memphis, Tennessee. Just before Desert Storms she was transferred to San Diego where she fulfilled her obligation. Once in San Diego, Dr. Safar fell in love with Southern California and decided to settle down permanently. She and her husband have five children and live in Carmel Valley.

Great experience. I recently moved out to SD and was worried about trying a new dentist. I have gone to the same family dentist in the Midwest for 20+ years. Dr. Safar and her staff were so welcoming and made me feel like a long time customer. I was very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of Dr. Safar and her staff. I even caught my favorite show on Netflix and before I knew it my cavity was filled. Highly recommend.

I have never had a better experience at the dentist, everybody was great and Dr Safar was so thorough, she even suggested that I may have sleep apnea based on the exam. The office is set up so that you can see all of the xrays and photos of your teeth so you know exactly what's going on. Dr Safar made me feel very comfortable and did not make me feel bad for my dental problems like other dentists I've been to, she was very understanding. The office staff was excellent as well, very inviting and so helpful! I'm definitely looking forward to doing all of my dental work here.

One of the most thorough dental exams I have ever had. From the very first contact I had with the office via the phone, upon entering the office and until I left, everyone I encountered was positive, friendly and caring. They take a holistic view to dentistry and your overall health. I have now had an exam, a cleaning and an additional procedure and feel very confident in the care that this office provides.
