Dr. M. H. Butt graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 1980. He then practiced Public Health Dentistry from 1980 to 1984. In 1985, he received a Master’s degree in Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health.
From 1985 to 1986 Dr. Butt was a Research Fellow at the Department of Orthodontics in Indiana University. Later, from 1986 to 1988 he was a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Orthodontics in the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In 1988 he was awarded a Certificate in Orthodontics from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Forsyth Dental Center. In 1991 he graduated Magna Cum Laude in D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Butt is a certified Master Invisalign provider with over 20 years of experience with aligner therapy. Our state-of-the-art 3D Digital Orthodontic office caters for children and aadults.
Dr. Butt has gone above and beyond the standard training and is a board-certified Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Butt has also been associated as an Orthodontic Consultant and Practitioner with several Dental Group Practices in Greater Metropolitan Boston area. Dr. Butt is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Orthodontic Association, Massachusetts Dental Society and Massachusetts Society of Orthodontics.
Dr. Butt is a highly qualified Orthodontist with integrity and caring attitude. He continuously strives to provide all his patients with the most comprehensive and advanced orthodontic treatment available with the latest technologies. When I got to the dentist’s office, the office was closed and the doors were shut. After calling the office number, it became clear that they either forgot I was coming or were unorganized. Then they made me refill out my medical forms, even though I had filled them out via ZocDoc prior to my visit. While the dentist’s bedside manner was fine and he seemed knowledgeable, it was concerning to go home to find that he hadn’t cleaned all of my plaque during my dental cleaning/prophylaxis.

Very kind, helpful, and informative. Facility is brand new and very clean. 100% better than my prior dentist/office. Office is located right in the mall across from the Starbucks. So, you can get a coffee while you wait and go shopping when you're done! I was seen immediately upon my arrival. No wait time at all. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Butt is very nice and kind. Usually, I only need to wait a few minutes in the office before Dr. Butt sees me. But in this visit, I could see he was seeing many patients, so a longer wait was understandable. However, Dr. Butt was, as always, very friendly and very efficient.
