Dr. Maggie Mintzberg was born and raised in Brazil, where she attended the American School of Rio de Janeiro. She came to New York City in 1997 to attend college at Columbia University where she majored in Neurosciences and Behavior. Dr. Mintzberg went on to complete her dental degree at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine where she graduated at the top of her class, was a recipient of multiple awards and scholarships, published several articles in scientific journals and was appointed to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Mintzberg then completed a two year postgraduate program at the NYU School of Dentistry to receive her orthodontic specialty certification. Dr. Mintzberg has been happily working with Dr. Cooperman since 2007.
Dr. Mintzberg is on the faculty of Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx. In addition, she is an active member of a number of respected professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, the New York County Dental Society and the American Association of Women Dentists, among others. She believes in the utmost importance of staying current with the most recent developments in the field of Orthodontics.
Dr. Mintzberg is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
Dr. Mintzberg loves to travel and explore New York City with her husband and two children.
