Dr. Azimi was wonderful. I have put off going to the dentist for a while, mostly because of anxiety with dentist visits. Dr. Azimi was warm, comforting, and confident. I was very comfortable with her and so glad I found her!

After studying at RUTC College in London, Dr. Azimi relocated to the United States, where she received her BS in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. In 1991, she was awarded her DDS degree from New York University College of Dentistry, where she also completed her postgraduate training in periodontics and implant surgery.
A Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology and a Clinical Associate Professor in Periodontics at NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Azimi is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Northeastern Society of Periodontics. She keeps up-to-date on the latest techniques in advanced periodontal treatments by regularly attending courses and seminars on implants, cosmetic surgery, sinus grafting procedures, bone regeneration, augmentation, and reconstruction.
Dr. Azimi’s primary goal is to ensure the health and comfort of her patients. After a thorough initial interview with her patients, she conducts a comprehensive clinical and radiographic examination using digital radiographic imaging for the most accurate results. Dr. Azimi is a firm believer that prevention is the best form of medicine and always takes extra time to educate her patients on correct oral hygiene in order to circumvent the possibility of future dental problems.

Dr Azimi is bar none the best periodontist in the city. Fantastic bedside manner. I was TERRIFIED and she saved my teeth and my implant. Great doctor and saved me money. Front desk is excellent. Highly highly recommend Dr Azimi and the entire practice

I have seen Dr. Azimi three times since I found her on ZocDoc, and can't believe my luck. The thing about avoiding the dentist for a while is that it keeps getting harder to go back, for fear of lectures, bad news, etc. In my case, the news certainly wasn't good -- I'd neglected my gums far too long -- but Dr. Azimi was kind and expert and encouraging; I really believe she has saved my teeth.
The entire practice, Sutton Place Dental Associates, is outstanding: sparkling, friendly, prompt, and extremely knowledgeable. (Since Dr. Azimi is a periodontist, I am also seeing one of her colleagues, Dr. Modiri, for conventional dentistry.) While the billing process hasn't run quite as smoothly as the rest of the practice -- for example, between visits I was emailed a "dental treatment plan" that included procedures that turned out to be unnecessary -- the office has been pleasant and cooperative about straightening out any glitches. All around this is the best dental practice I have ever encountered; if I'd known about Dr. Azimi and her associates sooner, I wouldn't have put off going to the dentist. Very, very highly recommended.

Very thorough and great patient rapport. I dread the dentist and needed Perio work. The office has many specialists who work together. And the doctor cleaned my teeth to make sure she knew what was going on - that NEVER happens.

I felt welcome as soon as I stepped into the office. The staff was friendly and Dr. Azimi was knowledgeable and approachable -- shee took me through each step and made sure I got all of my questions answered. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
