This is not a dentist. It is an orthodontist-only. I found the office through zocdoc under the "dentist" section, assuming they would be someone who could perform a basic dental cleaning. I assumed incorrectly. I wish I had learned this before I booked and showed up to the appointment. Zocdoc should be aware of this

Dr. Mahtab Partovi knew from an early age that she wanted to make people smile. She dedicated her studies to this pursuit and received her bachelor’s degree in biology from California State University, Northridge. After college she went to New York, where she attended New York University College of Dentistry to receive her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. She continued her education at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics, where she completed her residency, thereby specializing in orthodontics.
While in dental school and residency, Dr. Partovi was hired to write for several dental trade publications, including Dental Economics, and co-authored many Continuing Education courses for dental professionals. Dr. Partovi has also authored notably the most recognized dental drug book in the industry – “The Dental Therapeutic Digest”, which was circulated to over 100,000 dentists in North America.
Dr. Partovi is currently Board Eligible with the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, California Dental Association and Alpha Omega. She is a Certified Provider of iBraces and Invisalign.
Dr. Partovi grew up in West L.A. and is extremely happy to be back home to serve her community. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking in the Santa Monica mountains with her two wonderful dogs, and enjoys all the outdoor activities that living in L.A. has to offer. Dr. Partovi is an avid reader and takes great joy in working with kids, teens and adults by helping them build confidence by giving them the best smile possible. She looks forward to meeting you!

I never have to wait long,the staff are all very friendly,I'm never left waiting in dental chair for more than 5 minutes. Everyone's good about explaining procedures,etc.
