Dr. Pham is a phenomenal dental provider. She and her team are extremely professional and explain every part of the exam and additional procedures. She answered all my questions, was transparent about all recommendations, and helped me prioritize what I needed to in order to ensure my dental health. Dr. Mai Pham is a general dentist with emphasis on kids and cosmetic dentistry, serving the community of Santa Ana, CA. Dr. Pham attended Tufts University, where she was awarded her Doctor of Dental Dentistry with honors in crowns and prosthetic excellence. Following graduation, she was selected to be one of the three dentists to receive an advanced education in General Practice Residency at the University of Texas, Houston. She was rewarded the Wisdom Award, resident with the highest analytical skills. Given her clinical and innovative skills, she was prized 3rd place for her Table Clinic Presentation at the Star of the South Dental Meeting.
Dr. Pham welcomes patients with all backgrounds, especially those who are having a hard time seeing a dentist. And she is generously willing to accommodate everyone equally regardless of their financial status. Dr. Pham naturally has a heart of service and genuinely cares for all her patients and their well beings. She is patiently catered to those who are nervous and fear pain.
Dr Pham is passionate about dentistry and is a huge advocate for preventive dentistry. She is also a life long learner, who enjoys staying current with new technology and techniques so that her extensive knowledge can provide quality treatments for her patients.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Pham enjoys reading philosophy, writing romantic poetry and short stories, collecting quotes, dancing, babysitting and volunteering.

The visit was longer than expected. I felt as though they could communicate better with patients. I had my xrays taken and felt it was all I went there to do. The assistant couldn’t take pictures correctly. Had to take more after the dr saw me. I told her I just had thyroid cancer surgery and the assistant forgot and threw on the lead apron for X-rays and it hit my neck. Kinda hurt but hey what can be done about it now. The assistant was sweating profusely in her ppe gear and I understand it’s hot but her sweat dropped on my leg and I felt it soaking my pants and seeping to the top of my skin and all I kept thinking was, this is how viruses spread. When she was taking photos of my teeth her body yanked on the wire that was attached to that thing in my mouth sitting on sensitive gums. When the dr came to speak to me it was my first visit there and she kept talking to me but kept looking behind me like she was constantly distracted and didn’t seem very personable. Felt rushed and felt like they didn’t want to take care of me there. I had to sign some forms or get them faxed from my medical dr to get approval to work on dental work and they confused me with when I was getting my teeth cleaned. Dr said they will clean after I have the dr fax forms. The assistant said that I already had my teeth cleaned. I didn’t even know. This is what I’m trying to say. Whatever you are going to do to the patient, everything needs to be communicated. Like if you’re going to clean their teeth, don’t just say “open”. Please talk to your patients through the process. Let them know what’s going on, what you’re about to do, and just communicate. It cancels out fear in patients. Dr Pham I can tell isnt a people person. I would never go back nor would I recommend this place to anyone I know or care about.

Friendly and professional, they are excellent working with children. My daughter's first dentist appointment was fun, educational and enjoyable! We definitely found our primary family dentists. I Highly recommend that everyone come to My Smile Family Dentist, their office is very clean and modern top notch equipment and qualified staff.

Dr. Mai Pham was awesome! I came in with a bad infection and she was able to tell what it was right away. Not having insurance, she made it affordable to extract my wisdom teeth in less than half an hour with amazing bedside manner and dedication.

The dentist saw my daughter with out a parent present, I asked to be called in with my daughter as soon as the dentist went in to see her because I had questions but that never happened. My daughter told me the dentist didn’t do or say much and just asked if she was interested in braces. My daughter said yes and then that was it. I don’t think I ever want to go back to this dental office where the dentist thinks it’s ok to see a minor with out a parent present

Considering it was our 3-year old daughter's first dentist appointment, my wife and I had no expectations but only hopes of everything going well.
We were hoping that our daughter would not be frightened to the point of not going through with the appointment at all, but Dr. Pham and her dental assistant were awesome and our daughter was ecstatic about the visit afterwards.
We can definitely tell that they work a lot with kids and that they're cheerful interaction with our daughter was natural.
They knew how to trigger her happy side and Dr. Pham's approach to everything made me glad we chose her out of the hundreds of other dentists here on Zocdoc.
Our daughter even got a balloon hat in her favorite color on her way out! :D
