Dr. Ossa was born and raised in Dexter City – you may remember her as a cheerleader and valedictorian of her class at Caldwell High – and after spending some time away for schooling, first in FL and then at Ohio State, has returned to the Marietta area with her husband, Alex. We couldn’t be more excited to have this hometown girl as part of our team!
Dr. Ossa knew from an early age (first grade!) that she wanted to study dentistry, and that desire solidified into an orthodontic track in high school and again during her time at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. She always enjoyed her visits to the dentist as a child and even more so to the orthodontist. “It was always a happy visit – and I left my orthodontist’s office with a great smile. Even better!”
She continued at Ohio State for an additional 2 years in the College of Dentistry’s Orthodontic Residency program, which she just recently completed. She’s very excited to put all that knowledge and experience to work at Eckels Orthodontics where Dr. Scott Eckels’ name precedes him far into the community. Everywhere she goes in town, people are excited about her new role.
Outside of work, she can be found baking or spending time with friends and family. She is very happy to again be close to her extended family – especially her nephew, who should expect to be spoiled. ??
Dr. Eckels has every confidence in Dr. Ossa and is so excited to be introducing his patients to her. “I love that we’ll have another strong female role model for our patients and we look forward to people requesting appointments with her!”
