Dr. Maria Astrid Urrutia grew up in Calgary, Canada. She has been involved with the dental profession since 1992. Dr. Urrutia worked with her father, who is a prosthodontist, as a dental assistant throughout high school and college. She graduated from the University of Calgary, Canada obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree with Distinction. She went on to graduate from the University of Alberta in 2004 with her Doctorate of Dental Sugery. Dr. Urrutia pursued to further her dental education by attending a postgraduate program, Advanced Education in General Dentistry, at the University of Texas in Houston, which she completed in 2005.
Dr. Urrutia has been involved with the Seattle Study Club, the American Dental Association, the Greater Houston Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association. She is also a certified Invisalign provider. Dr. Urrutia is bilingual, fluent in Spanish, and is very compassionate as a dentist. She is known by our patients to be an honest, caring and gentle practitioner. In her free time, Dr. Urrutia enjoys travelling, dinners with friends and family, and swimming.

Dr. U has the most gentle hands. I went to other dental practices and they told me I had alot of fillings and I only had one here!
