A leading, board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Stein is one of a handful of oral and facial surgeons in the New York area to earn both dental and medical degrees. With more than 15 years experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Stein is an accomplished and skilled physician dedicated to providing the gold-standard in patient care. He earned degrees from both New Jersey Medical School and New York University College of Dentistry, where he won several awards, including the top oral surgery prize in the United States for the American Dental Association National Basic Science Competition. Dr. Stein was also honored with the prestigious American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Outstanding Achievement Award. Dr. Stein completed his training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey during an intensive six-year residency program. With specialized additional training in bone grafting techniques and cosmetic facial surgery, Dr. Stein also served as Chief Resident of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr Stein has placed over 6,000 Dental Implants during his career and has been involved in multiple Dental Implant Studies. He lectures nationally on topics of Bone Regeneration, Dental Implants and Facial Surgery.

I visited the doctor 2 years back to remove wisdom tooth on one side. I had a deeply impacted tooth. The doctor took an X-ray and explained me very clearly what's going on and answered all of my questions. He was very nice to talk to and had a good sense of humor.
He scheduled a different day for the surgery, I was panicking but he put me to easy. I was given a general anesthesia and by the time I woke up one side of wisdom teeth were yanked. He gave explained me clear instructions on how to take care of my tooth for the next few days and gave me some handy printouts for reference.
That evening one of the nurse texted me to see how I was going. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and there were no complications. I was given some pain killers which I used only for like 2 days and rest of it was not necessary.

I came in to see Dr. Stein for a wisdom tooth extraction consultation, and was extremely delighted with the experience. I was given an X-Ray, and then sat down in the exam room for the consultation. Dr. Stein was very nice and extremely professional, he has a very confident presence that put me at ease right away. He examined my gums and then my X-Rays, and recommended that I not have surgery to extract my wisdom teeth as there was a risk for nerve damage. He explained very clearly the risks of the surgery, and indicated that there was very low risk that my wisdom teeth would bother me.
I was very elated to hear the news, but if he did recommend surgery, I would have no hesitation to trust him to do the procedure.

Entire office was very friendly. Every event from the consultation to the procedure was clear and direct. I had wisdom teeth pulled in roughly 20 min and left with very little pain and no swelling. Was a 100% better experience than I had imagined. Dr. Stein was very personable and put the anxiety of the procedure at ease. Although I hope I will never have to have another procedure, if I do, I will be returning to Dr. Stein without a doubt.

I've recently had my wisdom teeth removed at Dr. Stein's office and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The procedure lasted not longer than 20 minutes for two teeth who were really impacted. Also, Dr. Stein's post op treatment is excellent. I had to go back a couple of times already and he was always on time and ready to check up on me, besides being very clear on his directions and on telling me what was going on. I highly recommend!

Dr. Stein is smart and thorough, while being extremely efficient. I had my consultation, surgery and was out of recovery all in just under 60 minutes. I usually experience high anxiety in situations like this, but Dr. Stein makes you feel totally calm before he begins. Plus, the nurses give you their on-call cell number in case you need to follow up on anything once you're home.
Highly recommended.

I went in for a wisdom teeth consultation. Dr. Stein was very personable and friendly - great attitude and it didn't feel like he was trying to sell himself like some of my previous dentist experiences. The session was efficient and informative as well. I had to wait for a little but other than that everything was great!
