About Dr. Maryam Haeri

Dr. Maryam Haeri attended Howard University School of Dentistry where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2002. Dr. Haeri has been practicing dentistry for the last fifteen years in Maryland, Virginia and mainly in Washington, DC. "I am passionate about my work as a dentist and I am committed to treating all of our patients like members of our family - with the same level of care and attention. My greatest satisfaction comes from helping a fearful patient who has had negative dental experiences in the past overcome those fears with a very positive and comfortable experience." If you are passionate about oral health and have unlimited $$ to spend on dental care, she is the perfect provider for you. She won't stop pushing services until your teeth are 100% perfect- but expect lots of surprise bills when insurance denies the claims for being excessive and unnecessary services. I especially did not appreciate that she demanded immediate payment without allowing me time to dispute the claims with the insurance company, and in the next breath told me to make another appointment for more services of dubious necessity, and only admitted when I pressed that the insurance probably wouldn't cover the next one either. She took extra care to ensure all my dental care was pain-free, but the insurance also denied the extra use of local anesthetic. tldr; very good dental care. most pain-free dental experience I've ever had. bad surprise bills.
I recently relocated to DC and was in search of a new dentist. I found Dr. Haeri on Zocdoc and chose her because she was nearby, in-network with my insurance (Aetna), and had good reviews. I couldn't have been happier with my first "new patient" appointment. As soon as I walked into the office (which was spacious and clean), I was greeted by Dr. Haeri herself and taken back to the exam room right away (I had pre-filled the new patient forms ahead of time and submitted them via email to save time). Dr. Haeri was incredibly welcoming and took the time to explain everything to me very clearly, from recommended dental hygiene tips to cavity treatment options to insurance billing. I would highly recommend Dr. Haeri to anyone looking for a new dentist!
They explained what is or isn't covered by the insurance very clearly. The doctor is very nice and knowledgeable and explained what aspects of my tooth/gum care can be improved. The rest of the story was standard practice.

Really happy with Dr. Haeri. I went in for a cleaning/general dentist appt and she was at the front desk when I arrived because her receptionist was out for an emergency. She took my insurance info right away and I was taken straight back for x-rays by her assistant, followed by my cleaning. Dr. Haeri had her assistant take notes while she examined my teeth and explained everything to me in detail. I didn't have many questions because she explained everything going on with my mouth in great detail. Very happy to have found a knowledgeable, professional and kind dentist. The space was very clean. Both the dentist and her assistant wore masks and plastic face shields as well as gloves. The appointments are spaced out in a way so clients don't run into each other as a precaution because of covid. I felt very safe.

My visit was a wonderful experience. The staff and doctor is very professional and friendly. Dr. Maryam Haeri gave me a lot of options to choose from for my needed dental work. Which was painless. She also recommended me to a dental specialist in the same building to get a procure done on the same day!!! And Dr. Ali Manish and his staff are very professional and friendly also. His work is painless!!! Hours later I feel no pain.

Upon entering the office I was immediately put at ease with its warmth and professional appearance. I was greeted by very friendly staff and able to complete all requirements with ease and smiles. I was then immediately met by Dr. Haeri with a smile and kind disposition. Her care and ease of communication was very reassuring (as I am not a Dental office fan). Once sat in the exam chair Dr. Haeri's attention, care and procedures were barely felt. I am truly a BIG FAN of dental now thank you.
I've been seeing Dr. Haeri for 11 years now. I've had various procedures-including one root canal and one implant-done and she always takes the time to explain what each procedure is, how she will do it, and what to expect from the results. I have bi-annual checkups and cleanings and when I arrive in the office I'm seen at my scheduled appointment time. Quick and through visits. Both Dr. Haeri and her staff have great bedside manners. Very helpful, very professional.
Dr. Maryam Haeri is an amazing Dentist, who is so gentle, kind, and caring with both children and adult patients. My children love going to her office and have no fear of their dentist. We highly recommend Dr. Haeri and consider our family lucky to have her as our family dentist.
