Dr. Clarke strives to provide quality personalized dental care in a relaxed and comfortable environment. It is Dr. Clarke's philosophy that she is an advocate for your dental needs. She acts as an advisor and always wants you to make informed choices with regard to your care. Dr. Clarke believes in the power of conservative, holistic dentistry. Your overall health and well-being is closely related to your dental health. Prevention of major dental problems is always the best course of action in keeping your overall health where it should be.
Dr. Clarke was born in Madera, California, in the heart of the Central Valley. She graduated from Madera High School and moved to San Diego, where she attended the University of California. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Neuroscience, as well as a minor in English Literature. She then attended University of the Pacific's School of Dentistry, known for its humanistic focus.
Upon graduation, she returned to San Diego, where she associated at several offices before starting her private practice. She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Diego County Dental Society. She also volunteers in her spare time at the UC San Diego Free Dental Clinic providing dental care to the homeless.
Dr. Clarke attends many hours of Continuing Education so that she can provide the most advanced treatments using state-of-the-art technology. For example, she uses digital X-rays in her office, which use far less radiation than standard X-rays and which are much more comfortable for you. She also uses the Wand technology for comfortable anesthesia. And, through the use of an intraoral camera she is able to show you what your needs are and allow you to make informed decisions.
