More about Dr. Melinda Reynard, DDS
I received my Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 1989. Post graduation, I spent 3 years on the San Mateo Dental Society Peer Review Committee to ensure a high standard of care throughout the community. I also received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas in Austin, and my Master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science a few years later. With the extensive knowledge of diet and health related conditions, I am able to provide a more holistic approach to treating all patients.
Over the past two and a half decades, I have regularly volunteered my time to spread dental awareness throughout the community. Before I opened my California dental practice, I traveled overseas to a small town in the Middle East to treat impoverished families. I've given dozens of educational presentations at local schools such as the Jewish Community Center, Belmont Oaks Academy, Kindercourt, and Cipriani Elementary. I regularly donate dental supplies to support local schools and many other organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Clubs. Last year, I served as the Silent Auction Chair for the Sarcoma Oma Foundation Gala and with the help of my staff we raised thousands of dollars in donations to support a cause near and dear to my heart after losing a very close friend to this rare type of cancer. Our staff have also been active in the national "Give Kids a Smile" program for the past four years, where we provide free dental care to impoverished children.
I've worked hard to keep our office up to date with the latest equipment and technologies. Last year we implemented digital x-rays, intra-oral photography, and even noise-canceling headphones.
