Dr. Mersiha Avdic earned her D.M.D. degree from the prestigious Harvard University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Early on during her dental training, Dr. Avdic developed interest and passion for treatment of periodontal disease, and the connection between periodontal health and overall health. After graduation, Dr. Avdic continued her post-graduate studies at Harvard specializing in the field of Periodontology and Oral Implantology, where she was awarded a Certificate in Periodontology and a Masters degree in Medical Science. During her training, Dr. Avdic participated in numerous clinical research projects and was awarded a Magna cum Laude in special field for her distinguished work.
Dr. Avdic remains up to date with new technologies and innovations in periodontics, through attending many internationally recognized continuing education courses, including Bone Symposium, ITI Conference, European Periodontology meetings as well as conferences held by American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Avdic utilizes innovations in the field to deliver the most advanced and superior treatment possible. She is honest, motivated to provide the best care for her patients and highly sensitive to the individual care and needs of every patient.
Dr. Avdic is an active member of American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Massachusetts Dental Society and New York Dental Society.
