Loved THE doctor, he was very thorough and extremely knowledgeable . the process however wasn't good.
I called several times and his offices never got the info from Zocdoc and they never knew what I was talking abou. It took 4 phone calls and still ended in much confusion.

He completed his specialty training in Orthodontics at Columbia University. At the same time‚ Dr. Arvystas was a student in the Columbia University’s Masters of Fine Arts sculptor program.

Dr. Arvystas was the orthodontic director of the Cranio–Facial Anomalies Center at Montefiore Medical Center for many years and concurrently a Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Dr. Arvystas is currently a Professor of Orthodontics‚ Montefiore Medical Center‚ University Hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine‚ Bronx‚ New York. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the New York Academy of Dentistry‚ Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is a member of the Organization Committee of the annual Greater New York Dental Meeting and has served as committee chairman of entertainment‚ essays‚ seminars‚ exhibits‚ and currently serves the organization as a troubleshooter. He is also a consultant to the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and the American Journal of Esthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Arvystas has published extensively in his specialty and lectures nationally and internationally on contemporary topics in orthodontics. He has recently written a book entitled “Orthodontic Management of Agenesis and Other Complexities: an Interdisciplinary Approach to Functional Esthetics”‚ published by Martin Dunitz‚ Taylor & Francis Group‚ London and New York. Thieme is the United States distributor.

Came here for a check up and consultation. Doctor saw a patient before me, probably a regular patient even though it was time for my appointment. Doctor looked at my teeth for approximately few minutes, did not do any x-Ray or anything like that, and told me will get back to me, took my insurance information. It has been over a month, never heard back. Definitely will look for another dentist.

Definitely doesn't care about pain or discomfort if your insurance hasn't been verified. One of those doctors that make you feel like they care more about money than people. Hey, he may be good though, I won't be returning.

I don't see dentist often, so I cannot comment on how Doctor Arvystas perform compare to other offices. But in a word, I am not satisfied with my visit to him.
I am a bit scared by him and his reception because when I talk to them, they are not patient to explain things which make someone like me not familiar with brace treatment seems an idiot and also make me feel extremely difficult to make decision.
Secondly, it took them more than a month and half before they finally tell me the treatment plan. That's not the worst part, I called in 3 times asking about how things goes and the call was always transferred to their other office. The lady there are really nice and help me left note for them to call me back, but they never did!!!
Anyway, I was so frustrating and I don't dare to see this doctor for my future treatment but if you are really familiar with the treatment and know that he will do good, you can still give it a shot.

This is the best Dr's office. We cannot thank this office enough. The staff is excellent. There service is the state of art. The staff is the reason that we continue to come since a deccade, I have recoomended and shall continue to do so. Keep the good work up. Great job doc and the staff :)
