A native Texan, Dr. Michael Denbar graduated from the University of Texas, Dental School and received his DDS in 1972. After serving the United States Navy for twenty years and then as an associate in a local dental practice for nine years, Dr. Denbar began his private practice in Chesapeake in 1991.
Dr. Denbar maintains memberships in the local, state and national Dental Associations and actively pursues continuing education.
With forty years of refined dentistry experience, Dr. Denbar is proud that compassionate care is the hallmark of his practice and unique attention to each patient's well-being motivates his team.

This was my first visit with Michael Denbar and I plan on returning for the upcoming dental work I will be needing. He was very polite and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire appointment. I am someone with high anxiety when it comes to any sort of doctor and he made sure to take note of it and was very understanding of how I feel. His staff I dealt with were all very kind, the receptionist was very friendly and overall I would recommend this office to anyone from what I have experienced. Another great thing about Denbar is he was not pressuring me into getting any specific dental work and only the work he felt was absolutely necessary to get my teeth healthy again. A very honest man.

Great visit, I was a few minutes late for my appointment . From front desk to Doctor Assistant it was fast.???? . If I did wait they kept me with moving with chech in to listening to my questions and getting an answer right away. I was then called back. Doc came and spoke with me and explain all that was going to happen this visit. Also he include next few visits. Doctor Denbar was very easy to understand. Everyone was very pleasant ?? A Great team work office??

Didn't have to wait. Julie is always gentle during cleaning and very friendly (of course, were friends-been a pt. for 20 yrs). Dr. Denbar is gentle and very good @ explaining procedures. Super nice !!

Dr. Denbar is absolutely the best. Honestly this is the most comfortable Ive been with any dentist. I absolutely trust and respect the whole staff. They always have my best interest at heart. Everyone here is very pleasureable and sweet. Im always greeted with all smiling faces ! I love walking into an office that is family.
