Michael Herman, DDS, is a skilled and experienced dentist and sleep specialist at Beyond Dentistry on Central Park South in New York City. Dr. Herman has more than 40 years' experience offering cosmetic dentistry for patients who seek a gleaming, straight smile and managing the pain of dentistry that deters many people from getting the treatment they need.
Dr. Herman attended dental school at New York University College of Dentistry in Manhattan, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. At NYU, he trained in orofacial pain management and craniomandibular disorders. Dr. Herman earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, an honor held by only 5% of U.S. dentists. In addition, he holds Fellowships and Diplomate status in numerous associations and academies.
Dr. Herman is trained in treating obstructive sleep disorders and sleep apnea and has successfully completed the mastery program through the prestigious American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, of which he is also a member.
Patients of all ages appreciate Dr. Herman's ability to explain diagnoses and treatment options in terms they can understand. His passion for his work shines through his care, and he has a gift for putting patients at ease throughout even the most strenuous dental treatments.
