Dr. “Mike“ is a 1980 graduate of the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry. He completed a 2-year General Dentistry residency in 1995 and received Board Certification from the American Board of General Dentistry and is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. Since entering private practice, he has been recognized as one of America’s Best Dentists by both the National Consumer Advisory Board and by the Consumers Research Council of America.
Dr. Mike has been a resident of Virginia since 2003. He is a member in good standing with the Peninsula Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Virginia Academy of General Dentistry. He is married, has 2 grown children, enjoys travel, photography, movies, and... Busch Gardens.

Dr. Hutchings has the best chairside manners. He listens to my concerns with calming reply. If you are a scary cat like me then Dr. Hutchings will calm you down. He is friendly, smart and he made me feel that he would take care of me. The sign brought me in but his courtesy will bring me back.

Not been to a dentist in..far longer then I probably should have. Dr. Hutchings was direct with what needed to be done, and why, and was able to set me up with a referal same day to take care of an issue that had been bothering me for weeks.
Delighted all around, and wwill defintely be back later for a proper check up, instead of an emergency! Highly recomended.

Wait time was normal, the entire staff was helpful and amazing!! They showed me what was going on, what was needed, and made it all make sense. The amazing receptionist made it possible to get scheduled for future dates and made sure I was helped. The Doctor was cool, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful with explaining and showing me what was needed. Great experience.

First time visit with Dr. Hutching was very pleasant. I wanted a second evaluation on my gum. Dr Hutching was very nice, and I felt very comfortable with what he said about improving my teeth look. The office staff were pretty friendly, and it felt as thou I had being coming to his office for years on the first visit. Dr. Hutching had done some previous work on my husband teeth and did a great job. His workmanship was very impressive that he done for my husband. Once my gum heal I’ am going to schedule an appointment with his office to have him re-do three crowns that need to be replace due to the cutting of gum. . Yes, I value his option, he is that good. Being honest here : considering what Dr " Mike " has to work with concerning my teeth, I think he's amazing! I know what to expect cost wise, and his being genuine about, what is possible for me is comforting. If he was a mechanic instead of a dentist; I'd let him tune my car!
